It's really a matter of choice vs budget. ๐๐
HOW MUCH DID IT COST TO PREPARE A 50 PAX WEDDING IN LESS THAN A MONTH?๐ค
Since I'm still on a wedding high, I asked you guys what you wanna know about our wedding and this was the most asked question.
But before that...
We're debunking the idea that intimate = cheap. Though budget may be a good and practical reason to have an intimate wedding, we didn't invite 50 para maka-tipid. We invited 50 because we only wanted the VVIPs in our lives there, periodt.
I'll breakdown the cost, the suppliers, and give some alternatives, too. ๐
NOTES!
-Expect businesses to change their rates from time to time.
-Also, negotiate! Wag ka mahiya lol.
-Ours was a civil ceremony held in a backyard.

VENUE + CATERING + EVENT STYLING
The first thing we looked for was the venue. Non-negotiable ko talaga ikasal sa gubat. ๐
Here were my options:

๐ณ Pinto Art Museum
๐ณ The Mango Farm
All of these are in Antipolo. Pwede ka na diyan mag ceremony and reception.
I chose Timmy in the Woods because:
-Mabilis sila mag reply ๐
-Even without the decors, the venue is already super aesthetic!
-It's really designed for intimate weddings. They have packages that already include catering and event styling.
-Hello ang ganda ng event styling, even the basic package! Straight from Pinterest.
๐ฐ Packages start at P93,000 - Venue w/ prep rooms, catering, styling, basic wedding needs
๐ฐ We had a lot of add ons like upgrades for food, a grazing table, iwata, styling upgrade, etc... so our total was P180,000

We agreed to spend a little bit more on photographers.

I was okay with any of these options because my non negotiable for wedding photos ay AYOKO NG PRETENTIOUS LOOKING PICTURES YUCK ๐ These 3 really stand out in that aspect!
We went for Colove Studios and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. You see, I'm very awkward in front of the camera. The guys were fun, super chill, pwede kong maka laro sa Valorant ganun.
๐ฐ While hunting for rates, they were mostly between Php 50,000 to Php 120,000
๐ฐ Colove offered so much. You get all the pics in a hard drive, same day AVP, and edited pics too!

VIDEO
I only had one choice for video because same sa photo, I don't want our wedding video to be cringey and pretentious lol. My special request was gusto kong maala VHS style, so I went for The Film Collective! ๐ฅ
They also offer same day edit pero since our program was short, hindi na namin yun kinuha. We instead asked for all the raw videos (so I can also make my own edits!) and a longer edit from them na hindi lang highlights...
You know, something you can show your kids when they grow up.

FLOWERS
Since the venue already offered aesthetic styling, we didn't have to spend on flowers except for the bouquet.
Automatic na yung choice sakin because the flowers that my husband got me throughout our relationship was from our friend's flower shop, Blooms Artisan.
๐ฐ My bouquet was P7,500 and it came with a free buotonniere!

MUSIC
Non-nego for me that the music was live. Ayoko rin ng singer - I only got a trio! We chose Quartet Manila.
๐ฐ I looked around, prices ranged from P25,000 to P120,000.

COORDINATORS
This was one of those "buti na lang" decisions we made for the wedding!
We got The Weekend Planner (sila na rin nag host!) with Jops and Kam. Because of them, we were still able to go to Korea and Thailand a few days before our wedding without stress. They were also so open to accepting our sudden requests. And they provided us with assistants on the day na kung pwede lang sakin na lang siya araw araw ng buhay ko, g.
I swear, hindi worth it pumangit sa stress dahil ikakasal ka. Kumukha ka ng coordinator pls. ๐
๐ฐI looked around, prices range from P10,000 to P80,000.
๐ฐChose them because they're also the chosen planner of my now brother-in-law and sister-in-law!

WEDDING RINGS
We were in South Korea a few days before the wedding and we made our own rings there. As in... kami talaga gumawa! Kasama na experience, we only paid Php 10,000.

HAIR AND MAKE UP
I already have a go to make up artist, siya na rin talaga yung gumagawa sakin for my events! My artist is Ella of Blush and Lash.
I love working with Ella because she makes me feel super comfortable on the chair. And she was easy to work with when I had to add a few more heads to our actual list.
PAID: P17,500 FOR 7 PAX

GOWN
Eto na, ang dami dami niyo nag tatanong about the gown. I rented it!
The gown is from Miko Bridal Wedding & Studio. Rental was P18,000 + Security deposit. Worth it para mag mukhang bumili ka ng 6 digit dress, noh?
PAID: P18,000
Plus all the nice to have but not needed things, tips, pag aalaga sa suppliers, government things: Add around Php 80,000.
TOTAL: Php 516,000
GIFTS (WE ASKED FOR CASH) = Php 230,000
TOTAL COST: P286,000
๐ฆ OTHER NOTES
-For a wedding that's 50 pax, you can definitely make yours even more affordable if affordability is your goal. Mahal pa tong samin kasi di naman affordability goal namin but extreme customization. Maybe use our budget as a ballpark maximum figure.
-Look around and don't be afraid to negotiate!
-Just remember that small and intimate doesn't mean "cheap". I'd say that small and intimate means "extremely personal" - if you're willing to pay for that, go!
-Same with how I choose to spend on anything: if it's a HELL YEA, go for it.
-Unless you have ready cash, don't organize your wedding in less than a month. Baliw lang po talaga kami. ๐
-Your wedding is for YOU, not for your guests - and definitely not for strangers from the internet. Kung may eebas, sabihin mo "Edi ikaw mag pakasal" loljk.
