Santi: Anteco Electrician's Day
The air buzzed with anticipation as Anteco's electricians gathered for their annual general membership meeting. It was Electricians' Day, a celebration of their vital role in powering Antique. General Manager Veñegas kicked off the event with a rousing speech, highlighting Anteco's impressive growth in client numbers across the province and the cooperative's commitment to expanding service reach. He then delved into the exciting prospect of photovoltaic modules, a new avenue for providing clean energy to consumers.
Engr. Edwin "Cocoy" Eraga, president of the IIEE (Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers), took the stage next, emphasizing the importance of the organization to its member groups. He spoke passionately about the IIEE's role in promoting professional development and upholding ethical standards within the electrical industry. Following his address, Engr. Alfredo Gadayan Jr. shed light on crucial safety protocols, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and RA 7920, the law regulating the practice of electrical engineering.
The meeting was a lively affair, with attendees actively engaging in discussions and sharing valuable insights. The presence of NC2 EIM holders, registered master electricians, and registered electrical engineers ensured a diverse and knowledgeable audience. As the event drew to a close, a sense of camaraderie filled the room. Each member received a token of appreciation – a small gift symbolizing Anteco's gratitude for their dedication and hard work. The day concluded with a sense of unity and shared purpose, reaffirming the electricians' commitment to providing reliable and safe electrical service to the people of Antique.
