After various design proposals, what came out from the ideas forwarded was this poetic sentiment that flourishes from layers of layers of textures and fabrics.

Our initial meet up was full of giggles. The room filled with almost unending conversation as if we've known each other way before.

That's Yanny.

As she narrates her hubadera peg wedding gown, my mind wanders can we pull it off? Is she really serious? No bride has ever requested something daring and sexy for a wedding gown.

Other info includes, almost a sleepwear, no beadworks, no n**e tulle, very light, no corsetry, with a high slit and a short train.

I showed her the initial design.

A cropped string halter neck top showing off her cleavage and just below the chest, there’s an open detail on the left and right side, while a 2 inch middle lace attachment supporting the waist to appear extra sculpted.

A web of string at the back, with a cut way below the figure line. A mixture of boldness and lightness then a flowy skirt with a slit on the right and left skirt giving the flared skirt a chance to be expressive.

I told her to think it over.

Weeks past and she changed her mind.

Alas! She opted for a more traditional design, more bridal but still with the inclusion she mentioned.

I'm ecstatic as well for the changes, for being classy and dainty is our forte.

We made it work!

It is pretty special to wear a dress that shows the real you, bringing such a delicate yet eye-catching sense to Claui's already sweet and angelic aura. I created a product, packaged it, bought all needed equipment to make it, poured my time on it, attended various workshop and even did formal training in the hope of making it into a business and that was the biggest mistake I made.

❌CREATING THE PRODUCT BEFORE SELLING IT ❌

Turo kasi sa akin, produkto muna bago benta. Yun naman talaga.

Pero sa kaso ko, hindi eh. (Akin lang po yan.)

Sinayang ko lang ang oras at pera ko. Pero, at least may bago akong natutunan di ba? (Oooooi...Synthesizing happiness ka gurl.)

No matter how amazing your product is, no matter how valuable or how many people will love it, may mga instances talaga na mapapagod ka kung kakayanin pa ba, dahil puro lang suporta wala namang benta.

HUWAG ASSUMING gurl.

Do not assume that your product is the one they want.

Because here's the thing...

People don't even know what they want. Paano nila malalaman na kailangan nila yung solusyon mo? Kung marami naman silang option na mas mura, mas malapit, mas discounted. Eh pano yan, nabubulok yung pinamili mo. Di pa naman ako marunong mag market noon.

This is the realization I made kapag nag-uumpisa ka.

Before making the product, kailangan ipaalam mo kung bakit nila kailangan ang produkto mo.

Then itanong mo, "Kapag gagawin ko ito, magkano budget mo?"

Start small. laway ang kapital. Syempre sama mo na ang diskarte and make sure that you can deliver the product. When I say deliver - deliver it well.

Few tips lang, push through with it if:

1 ...may demand para humaba ang negosyo mo
2 ...may mga taong handang magbayad
3 ...may gagamit ng produkto mo
4 ...ererefer ka sa gawa mong produkto

Consider pre-selling your product as well.
