Filipino Plated Dessert Competition 🥗
Deadline of submission of entries: March 13, 2022
until 5:00PM ONLY.
Who may join the Contest: The Filipino Plated Dessert Competition is open to all the SIHTM students of St. Dominic College of Asia.
What to be plated and styled:
The theme would be “Filipino Riced Cake” / “Kakanin”
Mechanics:
1.Participants should be composed of one to two (1-2) members only.
2.Participants should be in their proper chef’s uniform. (Clogs, pants, chef’s jacket, skull cap, apron, and side towels).
3.The theme of the food plating contest would be Filipino Riced Cake/Kakanin. Participants can choose their own preferred rice cake to be styled and plated.
4.Participants will prepare and submit the following:
-Four (4) final photo of the finished plate (top, bottom, right and left side)
-1 to 2-minute landscape video of each team introducing their name and section and brief description of their finished plate, and
-Non-edited thirty (30) to one (1) hour video of each participating team showing includes set-up and assembly cutting, plating and presentation. To show transparency to the organizing committee and judges.
-Submit your entries at [email protected] on or before March 13, 2022 until 5:00PM ONLY. Late submissions won’t be entertained.
No cooking will be allowed during the 45 minute video. Plating, assembling and set-up in the display area and finishing touches should be done on the allotted time of the competition.
5.Each team may use any color, forms, types or style of plates. High degree of creativity and imagination when plating and presentation are encouraged.
6.Display materials such as cloths, plate stands, riser, spot lights, etc, can be used for the display and exhibit video/photo.
7.The organizers reserved the right to reject entry, which does not comply with the rules or with any specific requirement and reserve the right to rescind, modify or add on any above rules and regulation and their interpretation of these are final.
GUIDELINES AND CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
A.Creativity and Degree of Difficulty- 30 Points
B.Aesthetic Appeal-25 Points
C.Uniqueness / Originality-20 Points
D.Over All Display Presentation-25 Points
TOTAL 100 Points
All participants and winners will receive e-certificates, with cash prizes for the winners.
CHAMPION: Php 500.00
1ST PLACE: Php 300.00
2ND PLACE: Php 200.00
All entries will have the chance to be featured on Enchante Events and Eventologist Batch 17's page as an incentive to participation.
