This year, the Ibagiw Creative Festival will embody a transformative vision for Baguio as a UNESCO Creative City. Through its theme of "Inquisitive. Disruptive. Creative.”, the festival inspires a new generation of creatives to explore and innovate, harnessing the power of technology while preserving cultural heritage...

Another primary goal is to include children, nurturing their curiosity and creativity from a young age, ensuring they become integral to the city's sustainable creative industry. By fostering curiosity (inquisitive), encouraging innovative approaches (disruptive), and celebrating artistic expression (creative), the festival ensures that Baguio's traditions evolve harmoniously with modern trends. It aims to empower local artists, artisans, and craftsmen, strengthening both the creative community and the city's cultural economy.

Ultimately, Ibagiw Creative Festival stands as a beacon of cultural resilience and creative adaptation, bridging the past with the future in the pursuit of sustainable cultural development.

For each of the Fridays of September, he noted that there will be a Lib Talk at the Baguio City Public Library starting from 10 a.m. onwards.

Also at the city library is the scheduled conduct of a family movie every Saturday of the month at around 1:30pm where wholesome and family-oriented movies will be featured for families to enjoy.

On September 11 at around 8:30 am, the city will be conducting a marriage enrichment program at the Venus Park Hotel which will be followed by the National Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day on September 16, 2024 from 8:30am to 5pm at the Plaza Garden Residences.

From 8am to 5pm on September 18-19, 2024, there will be training on early detection, prevention and intervention on disability, where the venue will be announced soon.

On September 24-27, 2024, 8am. to 5pm at the El Cielito Hotel, there will be a Trainor’s Training on Parent Effectiveness Services and ERPAT or what is known as the Empowerment, Reaffirmation of Paternal Abilities.

The city will also be holding two most awaited activities every Family Month such as the mass wedding and the Family Fair Day on September 25, 2024 at the Venus Park Hotel and on September 29, 2024 from 8am onwards at Malcolm Square and Session Road, respectively.

Datuin disclosed that the city government is targeting some 50 couples who will join in matrimony while there will be lots of booths where the families can enjoy, have fun and at the same time learn how to care for valuable and supportive partners from the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), City Health Services Office (CHSO), CSWDO, Baguio Fire Department and Persons with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) during the Family Fair Day.

There will also be a chalk art contest care of the Balikatan sa Kaunlaran and medical mission care of the Lions Club of Baguio and BCPO.

Aside from the said activities, the alderman revealed that there will also be activities that will be done in the barangay level like seminars or forums related to families care of the CSWD unit offices and their own family desk where some will have a Family Day at the Park in partnership with Stone Kingdom.

Balayage is a beautiful hair technique that gives you natural-looking highlights with a soft, sun-kissed effect. 😊

It’s a low-maintenance option that keeps your hair looking fresh and stylish without frequent touch-ups. If you’re thinking about a change, balayage is a great way to add dimension and brightness to your look! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

SEPTEMBER 13 IS SIPAT DAY
Malacanan Palace declares 13 September 2024, a special (non-working) day in the Cordillera Administrative Region to commemorate the 38th Sipat Anniversary.

Do you know why Sept. 13 is a special non-working day in the Cordillera?
🫰The September 13, 1986 Sipat Peace Accord at Mount Data between the CBA-CPLA led by Conrado Balweg and the government of the Philippines with then President Corazon Aquino led to the signing of Executive Order 220 the following year which created the Cordillera Administrative Region to serve as a transitory structure towards the establishment of an autonomous Cordillera region.
