Our Story
Dogtown Collective started as a dog and eco friendly food park. It is managed by surfers Tiara Mejos and Mario Cardama Jr. who come from different backgrounds (Tiara works in Web Development and photography while Mario runs a successful catering business) but are bonded by their love of surf and dogs.
Before the pandemic, Dogtown Collective was home to concepts like Saranglayap, a smoothie bowl and Poke store, Rotunda Cafe and Bar, Kokoa Lifestyle Store, and Little Warung (Indonesian inspired eatery) and created a community of ocean lovers from different creative fields.
As an advocacy, Dogtown Collective has banned from the beginning the use of single use plastics and implements green practices such as composting and waste segregation. Dogtown Collective also recycles its kitchen and shower waste water (grey-water) using a branched system with a coco husk biofilter and is used to water the grey-water garden or the mini jungle as everyone calls it.
When the pandemic struck, the partners also decided to close shop as damage control. However the idea to move the business online came about, first to support the dogtown community products and services and eventually led to the idea of creating a curated marketplace for local products.
With a background in web development, we spent the lockdown developing Alleytwo.com. At the moment Alleytwo.com carries the following brands - Gordy’s Sugar Free Cacao Peanut Butter, locally made Tempeh, In a Nutshell Vegan Cheese, Crazy Carabao Craft Beer, and HomeBreak PH with plans to add more local products that we can sell to the market in Manila and Subic Freeport.
