Filipino cuisine is truly diverse and unique. Sa dinami dami ng taon na tayo ay nacolonized, sadya namang na shaped na and nainfluence ng foreign countries ang mga Filipino foods.

Overtime, our dishes have been continuously evolving, naiimprove and nadedevelop to be more suitable sa ating Filipino palate and para di maiwan ng trend with the modern times.

If you’re fond of Filipino cuisine, here is a restaurant nearby (if you're from Sto. tomas/Tanauan Batangas) that you might want to consider to celebrate your special occasions.

AMBIANCE/INTERIOR --
Victorina's Tanauan is so cozy and comfy (fully airconditioned) The warm light and the interior materials really bring the warm and pleasant mood during our stay in the resto. The details of the interior certainly tell us its resto concept - Modernized Filipino cuisine. Yung dropped ceiling nya, I bet it's for aesthetic reason, as well as the tubular lamp at the brick accent wall, ang rustic ng vibes, it blended so well sa salakot hat. They give so much attention to details that they did not miss the wood look tiles, what a timeless beauty.

Actually this is a resto bar, you can also witness the bartender making your drinks live.

I've tried everything except pork dinuguan, ang sarap lahat with its price, sobrang worth it, walang tapon.
On their wide selection of menu, they offer local dishes as well as filipino western fusion dishes. Like the carbonara, instead of panchetta/bacon it has beef tapa. Super lambot ng beef tapa. It's not usual for me to eat tapa on my pasta, pero diba traditional is boring so let's give new ideas a try. Lahat yummy, pero super remarkable sakin yung bangus steak. First time ko makakain nun. Sobrang flavorful, citrusy, savory, I can't explain more basta it made me happy while indulging it.

SERVICE--
The staffs are attentive, accomodating, friendly and they look so good on their uniforms. The kitchen did well too, they prepared our foods quickly, and good job to the dispatch, everything's plated in a pleasing manner. Kudos to the team, imagine having almost perfect food+ smooth service + great ambiance = repeat customer, commendable resto

Victorina's Tanauan is super lapit and accessible kasi katabi lang ng kalsada. Located sa baba ng Bravo Hotel, parking is not a problem meron sa lower ground, just take the elevator going to the resto.

AMBIANCE--
Second time ko na sa Papa dos and obviously, I still find the food and their place amazing.
For me, this outdoor diner is really aesthetic, romantic and peaceful. As a tita at my age, this place helps me relax and catch my inner peace away from the noise outside. (Aminin ayaw mo na din ng maingay kung tita/tito age ka na 😁)

If meron kang date (edi good for you😆 ) lalo na sa Feb 14, give this place a try, there's privacy and the place is so comfortable, pwede pa mag star gazing at night. Last November 8, 2022 - nawitness namin sa Papa Do's ang Lunar eclipse and we enjoyed the moment with my fam.

FOOD--
I haven't tried everything from the menu because I really need to cut meat from my diet except from chicken and fish. So I ordered inasal, in fairness sobrang yummy ng inasal (✔️tender ✔️flavorful ✔️smoky flavor ✔️freshly grilled). Honestly, this is better than the commercial inasal we use to eat 😁✌️.

My next favorite from the menu is the chami. By the way, the foods are consistently cooked and served kaya super worth it dayuhin. This is so far, the best chami I ever had ✔️perfectly cooked noodles ✔️well distributed flavor (sweet,spicy, umami, zesty) yung toppings din nila panalo. Hindi boring and hindi tinipid.

My fam also loved the liempo, milk tea and spaghetti. They also have pares, sisig,silog, bagnet and filipino noodles from their menu. I haven't tried some of them yet but I'm sure they are doing their best to serve best tasting and freshly cooked foods, so dapat willing to wait, para quality.

STAFFS--
Accomodating and professional po yung staffs and kapag may request ka, as much as possible, bibigay nila, ganun sila kabait ❤️

ACTIVITIES--

You can use their videoke, and meron din beer pag magchill kayo.

Brgy. Miranda Sitio, Talisay, Batangas.
If you're from Sto. Tomas, Laguna or Tanauan, and want a quick escape, please visit this place, just a few minute drive away from Talisay Proper.

I really recommend this to my friends kasi hindi ako mapapahiya and you can never go wrong sa Papa Do's, promise babalik ka ulit 😊💗 Sama mo kami 😁

As I improved my diet, I started to learn to love myself more. Sometimes I wobble, well nobody said it would be easy, but I know, it will be worth it.
There's this satisfaction every after meal, I feel great, guilt-free and feeling healthy.
I feel rewarded everytime I stand on my weighing scale, losing weight almost everyday.

Lord, please guide me and give me willpower everyday for my healthy lifestyle 🙏

Buckwheat Fried Rice Recipe

4 cloves garlic
1 onion
1/2 pc bell pepper
1 small potato
1/4 pc of cabbage
1 1/2 cup buckwheat

-cook buckwheat just like white rice
-saute everything and add buckwheat
-add salt
-add eggs
(Tofu just for the side dish)

Mango Sticky Rice Recipe
1 cup white rice
2/3 cup coconut milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup sugar

-wash rice with water 2-3 times until the water is clear
-add coconut milk, salt & sugar
-cook in medium heat

Coconut Sauce
1/4 cup coconut milk
1/4 cup condensed milk
1/4 cup all purpose cream
1 1/2 tsp rice flour
1 tbsp water

-add the coconut milk, condensed milk, all purpose cream in a saucepan
-simmer, then add the mixture of water and rice flour for thickening, mix continuously
-cook in low heat, consistency must be thick
