100.00 worth of gift item (unisex) of your choice for our exchange gifts.

For the contests which are the following Parol Making, Daygon and Dance Revo. it will be per team of Fire, Earth, Water and Air respectively. Please coordinate with your team leader and for the freshmen we will be posting your team designation today.

Encouraging everyone to donate your used clothing, etc. or in cash for our gift giving. We will be giving the collected items on December 16 to a chosen community.

Note: Compulsory since it is a department event

Before this day ends, I would like to say THANK YOU to our client Dept. of Tourism and Hospitality Management for trusting us ARISE to handle the 1st Departmental Acquaintance Party. (mam Venice, mam Nayre, mam Hannah, mam Nikki, mam Gayle, mam Clores, sir Randy and sir Alex) To my ARISE team for delivering wonders, special mention to the heads of committees (Allen, Nichol, Shrine and Morecho, Clyde, Rhina and Joy) ug sa Baskug Boys nga amo gihimo hideout for our decorations and practices paghimo. Each one of you ARISE team did a great job. Paid off ag ka kapoy. Fighting lang ta! To Guest House for providing us delicious dinner and for letting us borrow some additional decorations. To SHoTS and TORAH for being so cooperative in a such short notice. To all the students of BSTM BSHM and BSHRTM, for sacrificing some monetary amount to attend and most especially for attending the event, without all of you the event will not be that successful. and lastly but not the least, to Anne Varua for hosting the event bisan dili amo grupo but enthusiastically nga mi sugot. "Nganu all of a sudden nagpa compulsory para sa acquaintance?"
The answer is
1. The Acquaintance party is no longer the ARISE team's event instead it is the DTHM's event. Meaning, the department has full power of this event, they can change anything they need to like the theme, venue and compulsory It is because they know what is best for us students and for our department.
We -the ARISE are the event organizers, our role is to plan, collect, disiminate information, advertise, encourage you our fellow dthm students to join OUR acquaintance party.
2. It may seem to many na Compulsory is a bad thing. Pero you are mistaken. The money we earn from you will not just benefit you enjoying the party, ug mabusog pa gyud mo, magka close pa gyud tang tanan. But it will also benefit in our own department. Para nako lang, if magka benefit ug enough money ang department from this particular event only, swerte kaayo mo first yrs, 2nd yrs, 3rd yrs kay ug kamo na magheld ug Event puhon makatabang na ang department ug gasto ninyo. Or in other case, maka afford na ang department ug enough amenities para mu improve ato classrooms ug at building mismo.
3. ARISE will do our best to "rise up" from any concerns you give and respond to it the best we can. Remember our objectives in the acquaintance party is to give Pride in our course and to deepen our social bonds with all our DTHM family.

We are inviting the students under DTHM (BSHRTM, BSTM and BSHM) to join the Acquaintance Party on Sept. 5, 2019 THURSDAY.

A NIGHT OF PRIDE and BONDING.

Admission fee costs P230 to be collected at the DTHM entrance.
Deadline of payment is on Sept 3, 2019 at 5:00 pm.

Due to Acquaintance is now compulsory. We cannot accomodate the numbers of attendees to be ushered home for free. because we need to process the permits and clearances of everyone and do a waiver to ensure who is liable in case of accidents.
As a remedy, we will try to contact multicab to do the transportation at your expense just to make sure you will be able to go home after the party.
Just approach the collection officer in the dept. and indicate if you are to go home in Albuera or Baybay. For us to know how many passengers and multicab to be contacted.
