Ultra Trail Mapawa isnโt just an eventโitโs a rekindling, a monumental call back to what these trails have always represented. This year, we came together to honor and uphold the legacy of Mapawaโs paths while ushering in a new era of adventure and resilience. These trails have connected people across every level of experienceโfrom new faces discovering trail running to seasoned athletes and elite competitors. This year, we set out to celebrate that legacy in a way thatโs meaningful to everyone who steps onto this land, blending the timeless spirit of Mapawa with a renewed passion that is set to inspire generations to come.
With Ultra Trail Mapawa, we wanted to create something insurmountably huge, something that would test every runnerโs resolve, strength, and heart. The journey here isnโt about simply crossing a finish line; itโs about showing up in the face of the unknown, pushing forward through every obstacle, and embodying the grit that fuels each step.

These trails teach us something unforgettable. Trail running is more than just miles logged or minutes countedโitโs a crucible where weโre pressed but never crushed. Out here, itโs the heart and courage to take on the unknown that defines us. When the terrain gets rough, and the paths are steep, weโre reminded that weโre stronger than we think and that even the toughest moments can lead to the most profound breakthroughs.
Each distance, from the Divine Conquest, the Jaguarโs Pursuit, the Warriorโs Quest, the Eagleโs Ascent and to the Spirit Run, represents a world of its own, a place to test limits and embrace personal victories. Showing up to each of these distances is already a milestone, a victory of heart and dedication. Whether you crossed the finish line or poured your all into the attempt, today is about celebrating every single step. We hope you didnโt just take home a medal or a memory; we hope you found a deeper connection to yourself, to others, and to the natural beauty around you.

Ultra Trail Mapawa didnโt emerge out of nowhere; it rose on the shoulders of three defining events that paved its way. Each one built us up, each one taught us lessons we couldnโt learn anywhere else, and each one brought us closer as a community. First, the Jungle OCR kicked things off, immersing us in wild obstacles that demanded a newfound strength and endurance. Then came the Wild Boar Run, which tested our raw resilience against some of the toughest terrains and taught us the value of staying relentless. Finally, the Ranch Trail Run drew the trail-running community together, pushing each of us to our limits and strengthening bonds as we shared the journey.
These events werenโt just races; they were experiences that became part of our story. They showed us whatโs possible when we come together for something bigger than ourselves. Weโve watched a promising future unfold before usโa community built on a shared love for adventure, OCR, and the strength of the trails, all bringing lasting connections that weโll carry forward. These events taught us that the races are more than just competition; theyโre about building friendships, discovering our potential, and creating memories that will endure.

Finally, we must pause to express our profound gratitude to God. It is through His grace that we are able to gather, to challenge ourselves, and to experience the beauty of nature together. In every step we take on these trails, we are reminded of the strength and support that comes from above. It is in the stillness of the forest, the sound of our footsteps, and the camaraderie shared that we find a sense of purpose and belonging. May we always honor this journey, recognizing that we are part of something much larger than ourselves.
