7 Ways To Have A Minimalist Wedding

We like to think of minimalism as clearing away the clutter, removing the frills, and being very intentional about what you include in your big day.

Here's how to approach it:

1. Make it special.
Keep your guest list strictly A-list for the sake of streamlining your wedding.
The added benefit is more quality time among the intimate group of guests you invited!

2. Minimize your entourage.
You should also keep your wedding party to a minimum.

3. Set the tone.
Minimalist couples are choosing clean and contemporary wedding invitations.

4. Choose an unadorned venue.
A ""blank canvas"" wedding venue is the way to go for a truly minimal backdrop. Consider having your wedding outdoors in a forest clearing, a garden, or in front of a beautiful view.

5. Choose a simple attire.
When shopping for a wedding gown or suit, look for styles that have clean lines and a structured silhouette.

6. Ask yourself what's truly necessary.
You only need your fiancé, an officiant, and a marriage license to legally marry. Everything else is extra! So reconsider traditions, include only the details and formalities that are important to you both, and forget the rest.

Let's face it: guest lists are challenging to manage. Filipinos are generally raised in a very family-centric culture, making intimate weddings difficult to organize. So here are 5 tips to help you decide who should and shouldn't be present at your wedding:

There are some things you should discuss with your partner before telling the rest of the family. In this manner, you can identify problems and address them immediately. Your immediate family should come first, followed by close family members, and finally your closest friends.
