Choosing to share this season, because this season is all about love and family. And this couple of mine felt like family from the day I handled two events for their family. 🤍
It was March 18 of this year, eight months ago, when I received a missed call and a message from one of my favorite mothers of the bride, asking me to coordinate the younger brother of my previous bride. Although the budget was already set, I knew in my heart that I would say yes to this, no matter what, because I love their family, my previous couple, and I was sure I would love this new couple of mine…
My Anton & Carla 🤍
I met them in my satellite office, and although it took them a while to officially book me, I reserved their date because I just knew I would love them from the moment I saw them. Anton, the baby of the family, is an extremely cute, religious, and loving son. He even told me how his mood can change as fast as the wind. Carla, the eldest, is responsible, charming, patient, and very soft-spoken. They truly are a perfect match.
They were a couple who knew exactly what they wanted, were willing to do everything to make it happen, and were so kind and considerate of all the suppliers. I never had trouble communicating with them; our conversations always started with gracious greetings, polite requests, and a genuine care for my well-being. I will never forget how they even arranged for a lechon in the supplier buffet so we could feel special, too — definitely one for the books!
While planning, I never felt stressed. It felt like my baby sister and baby brother were getting married, and I was determined to do everything I could to make it a success.
And on the big day, everything fell into place. Even though the weather forecast predicted a typhoon, it was sunny all day with not a hint of rain. My baby groom smiled all day, keeping his positive thoughts, while my baby bride just followed us around, glowing and happy. At the end of the program, even when a technical glitch was about to happen, God helped us make sure everything went as planned. I’ll never forget when my baby groom asked me, “Tapos na, Ms. Gie, pwede na ko magalit?” with the sweetest smile. They were both so relaxed and happy throughout it all.
In the end, what matters most to me is that they were happy. And I truly hope I made them happy. They are indeed a perfect match, and on that day, we were all blessed with perfect weather from our perfect Creator, our God.
Nothing’s gonna change, my dears. I’ll always be here for both of you and your families. Loving you from afar, but always in my heart.
