OUR PEDAGOGY “TEACHING APPROACH” and CURRICULUM
Jumpyard Playschool is a Learner-centered education, the focus of instruction from the teacher to the student. Student-centered learning aims to develop learner autonomy and independence by putting responsibility for the learning path in the hands of students.
Student-centered instruction focuses on skills and practices that enable lifelong learning and independent problem-solving. Early Reading, Early Math, Early Writing, Listening Skills, Attention Span, Problem Solving Skills, Communication Skills, Creativity, Fine Motor Skills and Social Skills. These are just few of the skills and qualities that children will develop at Jumpyard Playschool Childcare Centre.
JUMPYARD Playschool is student centered environment that provides STEAM Learning Opportunities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). This is a space (it’s more than a space--It's a mindset) for students to act on their own curiosities, learn independently and in small groups, and feel a sense of ownership, It’s a welcoming space accessible to learners where students come to experiment, invent, try, fail, and try again. It’s often colorful and full of different manipulative, technology, and tools to prepare students with the skills needed to be successful in a 21st-century workforce. With low teacher-child ratio to ensure close interaction and supervision.
