The corruption of values and the degeneration of Filipino music can be attributed to various factors, including commercialization, changing societal norms, and a lack of appreciation for traditional art forms. As a consequence, the essence of Filipino music has been diluted, leading to a loss of identity and cultural heritage.

As someone who would possibly work in this field in the future, I would be lying if I said that I am not scared for myself, or for the others who are treading the same path.

Misinformation is spreading like wildfire that it has become a threat for us who are fighting for the truth. Fake news peddlers prey on those who do not have the capability or capacity to learn more by distorting facts and disguising them as the truth. Power is also used to silence those who voice out.

My hope is that whatever happens, truth prevails.

Nonetheless, isa sa "napakahalaga at pinakasikat" na sa gawing Norte. Travelers coming from Ilocos Norte, Ilocos sur, and even Cordillera traverse this either heading to Manila (South) or Pangasinan and Zambales (Central Luzon), v/v.

At that, sa kahabaan ng kalsada na ito, makikita at maaamoy ang pinagmamalaking daing products!

Pride and lust are two sins that are so attached in this generation and many youths are now indulging, living, and tolerating each other.

I see so many young people flirting, laughing, and exposing themselves to sexual immorality. What we see on social media, on television, and in movies is full of all kinds of immorality.

The innocent mind of young people today are now bombarded with lust and pride because social media is filling their minds with wickedness.

Another problem is, that we are lacking in our generation today with parents who fear God and teach their children to fear God and discipline them under the instructions and commandments of the LORD.

We even see that many jobs today, especially in the entertainment industry, though legal yet promote so much wickedness (fornication, adultery, LGBT, feminism, polygamy, in**st, lying, disobedience to God, government, parents, etc) and we applaud people who are in that industry because all we see is their hard work and not character, godliness, and righteousness.

We really need to protect ourselves and the young generation from the work of Satan and the deceiving pleasures of this world and preach the gospel as the only hope of humanity.

What a great joy to have some good talks/interview on hand with both of the young and senior artists namely Mr. Balad and Ms. Sevilla!

My gladness also to share to Ms. Sevilla some of the renowned, fascinating, and interesting historical angle of Arts.

Malacanang confers new National Artists

Malacanang Palace declared eight ( 8 ) new National Artists for 2022, namely Agnes Locsin for Dance, Salvacion Lim-Higgins for Design (Fashion), Nora Villamayor a.k.a Nora Aunor, Ricardo “Ricky” Lee and Marilou Diaz-Abaya for Film and Broadcast Arts, Gemino Abad for Literature, Fides Cuyugan-Asensio for Music, and Antonio “Tony” Mabesa for Theater.

On June 10, 2022, Malacanang Palace, upon joint recommendation of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), officially announced the eight ( 8 ) new National Artists by virtue of Proclamation no. 1390.

The Order of National Artist, established under Proclamation no. 1001 signed in 1972, is the highest national recognition conferred upon Filipinos who have made distinct contributions to the development of the Philippine arts and culture.
