The “Fiesta Filipinas: An Online Celebration of Philippine Festivals” project is a six-part, multi-format online event series from December 2020 until May 2021, which will simulate the experience of a festival through a combination of live and pre-recorded videos and live workshops and activities. The project aims to introduce and showcase Philippine festivals, culture, and traditions to our global audience and invite them to the country when conditions are more favorable.

The project is organized by the Philippines’ Department of Foreign Affairs and its 94 Foreign Service Posts, in cooperation with the Department of Tourism and National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

Slated on October 30, from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M., LES 2020 will feature a powerhouse line up of speakers top-billed by Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo- Puyat, who will be addressing the travel and tourism industry players and workforce. Also featured are the millennial guru and proud Filipino winner of The Apprentice Asia, Jonathan Yabut, and best-selling author and and a hi-impact trainer, Ardy Abello. This limited online engagement will be moderated by CNN news anchor and lifestyle personality, Ria Tanjuatco-Trillo.

Spearheaded by the Department of Tourism under the auspices of its National Capital Region (DOT-NCR) office, the LES 2020: Rebuild & Redefine aims to spotlight on 21st century leadership and business acumen and forms part of a collection of courses offered by the DOT—which collectively seeks to retool, reskill and re-boot tourism stakeholders and tourism workers in the new norm.

This online activity is open to the public, free-of-charge, with priority for tourism industry enterprises, players and frontliners.

Interested participants may register here for free: bit.ly/DOTNCRLeadershipExcellenceSeries2020
