In May 2024, Acapellago had the privilege of being invited by the prestigious Amarcord group of Leipzig, Germany, to perform for a local audience. They showcased a variety of songs, ranging from jazz and pop to Filipino favorites. The concert, titled Vocal Alchemy: The Magic of Harmony, was toured across Europe, including Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Now, with the addition of songs they performed at the Moscow International A Ca****la Festival, catch them as they premiere these pieces in the Philippines.

[CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - Student Assistants and Graduate Assistant]

The Bulwagan ng Dangal University Heritage Museum is looking for 𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐒 and a 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐔𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 who are passionate about arts, culture, and heritage for the First Semester of AY 2024-2025.

Selected assistants shall be immersed in tasks related to exhibitions, collections management, and museum office administration; but the selected Graduate Assistant shall focus on art history research. The museum prefers assistants who can commit to a minimum of 8 hours of on-site service per week.

Here are the criteria for the eligibility of applicants:

𝐒𝐓𝐔𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓
- Must be a continuing student, eligible to enroll during the term when appointed as SA.
- For the freshman students, they must have finished at least one (1) semester in the CU.
- For students below 18 years old, they must have secured prior written consent from a parent or guardian to serve as SA for a term.
- Must not be enrolled in more than twenty-one (21) units during the semester of appointment.

💡 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆 #𝟮

🖐️ Get your hands ready because we’re gonna mold a lump of clay for our second installment!

🤲 Did you know that historically speaking, the purpose of clay has not only been limited to the creation of pots that are used as food vessels and cooking implements? Clay has been used for record-keeping. Mesopotamians were among the first to use tablets made from clay for writing, creating some of the earliest known records of human history.

👉 In addition to their practical uses, clay has also been a medium for expression. In the 2016 exhibition "Batang Lumad" hosted at the Bulwagan, displaced Lumad children from Mindanao crafted terracotta artworks, tapping on the metaphor of land, and reflecting their questions, struggles, journey, and aspirations for peace and home.
