“Freedom"

The flowers I used are called "Parrot Flower", a variety of Heliconia or most commonly known as "Birds of Paradise", as it looks or depics like "flying birds". In the Japanese Floristry Art "ikebana", these flowers are often used most of the time in an arrangement, to represent the 3 dimension of life, the "Heaven", "Man", & "Earth". The leaves I used are Ferns accented with Dracaena Reflexa leaves or what is commonly called "Song of India", to add more dimension. I called these arrangement as "Freedom" because of it's freestyle look, simple yet elegant. It looks like birds spreading their wings and flying high.

"Circle of Light"

An arrangement I did for our altar. These yellow flowers are also very common here in the Philippines and it's called "Akapulco", "Candle Bush" or "King Of The Forest" in other countries. It has a yellow gold vibrant color will surely captivates anyone's attention. This is also a herbal plant and can be use for skin diseases treatment, because of it's anti-fungal and anti-bacterial components. The leaves is also a herb use here in the Philipines and it's called "Pandan" or "Screwpine" in english. It's being used to add flavor is some Filipino cuisines, and it's vanilla scent aroma adds more taste to it. I also created the vase, made of fabric cement mix.

"The Torch of Beauty"

These torch like flowers are family of trumpets lilies, and very common also here in Mindanao, Philippines. They usually found in moist areas or near the river. They are good for accent because of their unique shape and vibrant colors. I also created the vase too, made of wood and colored it yellow to give the flowers a more structured and distinguished looks.
