GTK - Get To Know US! 🎯

Formed in 2019, 𝕆𝕨𝕟 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝕊𝕡𝕠𝕥 quickly made their mark by winning the Battle of the Bands at Martilo that same year. Originally known as "On The Spot," the band decided to rebrand to "Own The Spot" to better reflect their unique identity and aspirations.

After a two-year hiatus, the band came back stronger in 2022 with new members and a renewed energy. This resurgence saw them dominate the local music scene, performing at major events and earning a reputation for their dynamic performances. Notable performances include being the front act for Range at the Guihulngan City Fiesta in 2022 alongside Banga Pero Hilaz and Scarab Curse, and performing at CHADAA for DECIMO, the Belltower Project's 10th Anniversary, among various other big-stage events.

Own The Spot has also achieved significant success in competitions. They were finalists in the Battle of the Bands in Canlaon and Buglasan in 2022. In 2023, they won the Malco Seafoods Battle of the Bands, placed third in the Battle of the Bands in Tayasan, were crowned grand champions in Toboso, and placed third again in the Battle of the Bands in Canlaon.

The current lineup of Own The Spot includes Arn Dela Cruz as the frontman, who has been with the band since its inception in 2019. The band has seen several talented female vocalists over the years: Nam Halup joined in 2022, Hannah Joy Ramos was part of the band from 2022 to 2023, Gracezel Joy De Lara joined in 2023, and Reenel Faith "Frooty" Aldiano has been a vocalist since 2023. Karl Patrick Alquizalas is the lead guitarist, Norbhel Kelly Aldiano is the bassist, Gzan Paulo Cabatuan is the keyboardist, and Junmar Gemina is the drummer, all contributing to the band's dynamic sound since their respective join dates.

Own The Spot showcases a versatile sound, exploring genres such as Pop, R&B, Soul, Rap, Reggae, and Alternative Rock. This diversity in their musical style allows them to connect with a wide audience and bring a unique energy to each performance.

With their strong comeback and impressive achievements, Own The Spot continues to establish themselves as a powerhouse in the music scene. Their journey from humble beginnings to big stage performances and competition victories is a testament to their talent, resilience, and passion for music.
