One of the most exciting moments in my hosting career!

In my 12 years as a wedding host, it is my first time to have a co-host. She is no other than Miss Universe 2010 4th runner-up Ms. Venus Raj!

This photo was taken day before the wedding where we had a quick discussion of the program flow! I am so amazed how humble and genuine she is.

It has been a while since I haven't posted any update here in my page. Well now I am back! Here's what actually keeping me busy for the past months that I can't prioritize posting photos on my hosting gigs here.
Anyway, so happy to share to everyone that we have finally moved to our own home!

Story time!

Since I was I child, we don't have a house we can call our own. My parents are living with a house provided by my papa's boss ever since I was born. It was a decent home for the family but again we cannot claim it "our own". Since then that I started earning through my hosting stints that I really dreamt of providing my family a home we can call our own. Then when I was 25, I got married to the love of my life Sheila, who's always been supportive to all of my endeavors. Since then my priorities were diverted to providing a home for my own family. When we got married, we rented a studio type pad to start living independently. Our first born was with us for 8 months in this small room where we struggle to move especially that our first child is fast growing. Luckily during the COVID 19 lockdown era, we were able to find a bigger apartment that can shelter us three and the even growing family since Sheila got pregnant on our second child on the first year since we transferred. It is by then that we are more determined that we must have a place we can call our own. We actually bought a small subdivision housing and a parcel of land but still can't move to it since it's still on going and don't have enough money to build one. But God always hear our prayers! Fast forward to August 2022 when Sheila saw a post in a Marketplace here in FB a "House and Lot for Sale" that we immediately checked. The first time we saw the house, it was like love at first sight. It may not be the biggest or the grandest but we feel in our hearts that this house can be our home. Lucky enough that we were able to afford the house from our combined savings from our small businesses and my hosting gig earnings. Indeed grateful to our customers and clients for the continued patronage to our brands for without them, this dream of owning a house may just be still a dream.
Last September 20, we finally moved in to our new house! It feels like we are in cloud nine. Not until on the 27th that we have to rush our first born in the hospital due to Dengue. We suspect it is from the new house since it was long been vacant since we moved in. We are supposed to have the house blessing on the 29th during the City Fiesta but have to move it since we are in the hospital for 5 days. Truly a challenging time in a supposed to be happiest days in our lives.
And then we realized, God still blessed us in so many ways that we really have to be thankful for. First, we now have a house we can call our own and second we have our family intact. And in every day that we spend here in our new home, it reminds us that dreams do really come true and that God is really working in our lives.

Now, we are finally settled after the month-long arranging of our things and was also able to build a small house for my parents.

To all who share the same dream that we have, continue the hustle and always believe that we have one great God that will always bless the desires of our heart. And let us claim, "YOU ARE NEXT!"

So easy to work with, beautiful inside and out and indeed very brilliant! Didto jud ko na amaze sa final Q and A nga very relevant and was only made by her while she’s having her makeup done! Grabeeeeh!

A night full of dances and performances! Just how the birthday celebrant envisioned it to be!
Happy 53rd birthday Maam Marivic Lee Tacogue, the woman behind Frosty Bites Garden Hall, Frosty Bites Catering and Bakeshop!

I am so amazed how humble maam Marivic is! Sa meeting pa lang she always stressed out to me nga dili sya ganahan nga siya ang star sa iyahan birthday. She just want everyone to have a good time! And it was indeed what happened. Everyone dancing on the dance floor, enjoying the performances from certified KUMU artist from Manila and having some good drinks and sumptuous food in the venue.

The Clash 2021 Champion Mariane Osabel

This is how it went last night! We are still at the prosperity dance part where we do the “money bridge” when the guests willingly went on the dance floor for some grooving and dancing! These are the guests we want! Makes my job way way easier!

This is one of my favorite pre-reception game inspired by one of my idol sir Eri Neeman. The “Bato-Bato Pick Battle Royale.” While waiting for the couple to arrive on the reception venue from their post-nup pictorials, I am already starting to hype up the guests with this very simple yet entertaining game. Together with the wedding coordinators, we distributed 20 peso bill for each guests. That is their initial investment for the game that may turn to 2,000 at the end of the battle. The mechanics is every round of the game the losing opponent will give all the money to the winner until only one will be declared as the grand champion. Winner takes all! See how it bring so much excitement to all of the guests in this video. This one is during Jezur and Cha’s wedding at Horizon Resort, Baroy Lanao Del Norte.

Can you name a worst thing that can happen on a wedding? -No lechon maybe?

Awesome night for Jay and Claire’s reception party. Unang nag kita sa sabungan, gi timan-an na daan ni Jay si Claire. Gi pangayo ang number sa ig-agaw ni groom nga classmate ni bride. It all started there and the rest is history. Last year I hosted the bride’s brother wedding at Iligan and now travelled here to Lanao this time for their wedding. The sister of the bride Cindy messaged me weeks ago to book this wedding and I thought iyaha nang kasal. Murag feel nako next year nasad ni ba. Singing host? Hmmmm, not even close. On stage is Marlou Flores our guest singer. He used to be a contender at Tawag ng Tanghalan sa Showtime and competed at Long Beach California, USA.

What’s your ideal guy? A God-fearing guy? Let’s ask one from Father. There are more fun moments on this wedding that aren’t captured on my phones video. Here are some: 1. On the final round of our bato-bato pick game, one of the sisters (nun) extended her hand to pray over one of the finalist. The twist, the guy she prayed over lost the game. Only to find out that his opponent has a brother and a son that are both priests. Sabi ko ky sister, “Sister, the prayer of two is indeed better than one! Parang mas close sila dalawang Fathers ni Lord” 2. One of the prizes is an alcoholic drink (a gin) Then Father went to the winners table bringing a glass asking for a shot. Sabi ko, “Bigyan nyo si Father, nag sawa na yan sa Mompo!” Everyone bursted in laughter! 3. On the single’s game, one of the single gentlemen asked; “Pwede si Sister? Diba single sad sya?” HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA. And many moooore.
