It started a family affair.
We love to celebrate special occasions. It is a time to gather relatives, colleagues and friends to have fun and catch up. In our family, having to share a banquet of food means a lot of gratitude and appreciation for all the blessings and great people that come. In the long run, we realize that holding parties can mean a lot of money spent. Since my mother, Lucille, is known for her unbelievably delicious cooking, we thought of buying our own party materials and have my mom and myself do the kitchen works with the help of my dad and siblings during our family affairs. Preparing for our own parties become such a fun and worthwhile bonding for the family.
So true enough, we started to cater our own parties, and those of friends, relatives and colleagues we know. Then slowly, the friends of our friends and relatives’ relatives started to ask about us, and our little family hobby turned out to be a sought after catering team for our friends and their friends’ friends parties.
Amazed and excited ourselves, we always tried to keep a really personal touch to those who wanted to try our home-made cooking because it gives us joy and pride to serve them with our family’s favorite dish list. We made a lot of new friends along the way, and eventually, our brand spread out like a popular commodity among families who want to celebrate special events at a good price, with lutong-bahay at its best for all occasions.
We served over 300 clients on our first 12 months.
Today, Lucille’s Catering is managed by my husband, JT Bautista who also had become a good cook himself, along with our kitchen and events crew; still with my always caring and loving Mom, Lucille, who made magic with her cooking, as she always say, serving others through the flavor of her foods make her happy and full of love to share.
