This is a beautifully crafted Parol, a traditional Filipino Christmas lantern, created by the residents of Zone-4 at Barangay Francia, Iriga City. This parol is shaped like a five-pointed star and is adorned with intricate designs and patterns, made with natural materials like coconut husk, coconut shell, abaca fiber, banana fiber, dried anahaw, and bamboo. The star is generously draped with warm, incandescent lights, creating a captivating glow and outlining its intricate shape. Inside the star, a miniature Nativity scene is nestled, featuring figurines of Mary, Joseph, the infant Jesus, and the wise men, adding a significant religious element. Two circular structures on both sides, adorned with bell-shaped decorations made with coconut shells, which add a subtle chime when the Parol is moved. This parol symbolizes the guiding star that led the wise men to the birthplace of Jesus, making it a cherished symbol of hope and faith during this Christmas season.
