naniniwalang may kumikita talaga ng ganyan kalaki sa business n’yo…

😎 NEGOSYANTE: Bakit naman po?

💈BARBERO: Tingin ka sa labas, ang
daming taong may problema. Kung may ganyan nga talaga kalaki na kumikita, eh di sana lahat ng sumali mayaman na at wala ng taong mahirap?

😎 NEGOSYANTE: Ganoon po ba? Ako din po, hindi ako naniniwalang may barbero.

💈BARBERO: Ha! Bakit naman? Barbero kaya ako.

😎 NEGOSYANTE: Tingin po kayo sa labas. Kasi kung may barbero, bakit ang daming mahahaba ang buhok?

💈BARBERO: Eh, kasi hindi ko naman sila
pwedeng gupitan kung ayaw nila…

😎 NEGOSYANTE: Ganoon din po sa negosyo namin, hindi ko naman po sila pwedeng tulungan at mabigyan ng magandang opportunity sa buhay kung sila mismo ayaw nila patulong at ayaw tulungan ang kanilang sarili…

*silence*

LESSON: Halos lahat ng tao gusto nila makuha mga pangarap nila. Pero hindi lahat willing gumawa ng paraan o sumubok ng opportunity na makakatulong sa kanila para makuha nila ang gusto nila sa buhay. 👍👍👍

BEING A CPA IS MORE THAN JUST NUMBERS. It is easy to say that once you're an accountant, you are nothing but just a boring person who makes records and reports. A lot of times they will ask you "Accountant ka lang naman? Anong alam mo sa batas? Sa politics?" and the list will go on. While it is true that we are the authority when it comes to calculations but they never saw that we are more than just numbers. In fact, we are like the lawyers but we are not in to the business of defending people but rather the money of business owners or even the entire economy.

Being an accountant is about public trust. Imagine how our society works without proper taxes collected? Or what if financial statements are just easily manipulated? Or in simple situation like what if our payrolls are not computed accurately? As accountants, we have this duty in the society. Yes, we are not politicians but our work is always political in nature. Seeing your work as purely numbers is just a superficial representation of who we are. We are more than that.

You'll realize that it is actually a big role to fulfill and expectations will always be high. So, it's not "accountant ka lang naman" after all. Because In the greater scheme of things, we are actually contributing to a better society but not just in the way other people imagine.
