To all my plus size girlies out there:

There will always be people who will trust you for your skill set, professionalism, work attitude and look beyond society's "standards" of beauty. Seek those people. Grow with them and treat them with utmost respect.

This is me on my 6-month postpartum body. I honestly dreaded doing this very familiar task--host a pageant. My reasons range from prioritizing recovery, work, family, to having self-doubt and just overall being self-conscious. Yet here I was, presented with the opportunity to show everyone that this is normal.

The voices in my head kept asking,
"Why would I hate the body that has sustained me through all these years?"
"Why would I hate the body that has been fighting with me against PCOS?"
"Why would I hate the body that has given me two wonderful children and nourished them from the womb until today?"

So yes, I am not yet in my best form and I don't intend to rush that. But as what the winning female candidate of this pageant said, "Being physically fit starts from within." Soon, but not yet.
