With all that’s happening around us, especially in the events industry, the organizers, managers, planners, co-vendors, performers, coordinators and even the clients themselves may sometimes find it difficult to embrace each emotion that passes us through but as embedded in our hearts— 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙜𝙤 𝙤𝙣.

𝙎𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣, 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙚. The joy, the pain, the sadness, sorrow, gratefulness and etcetera, 𝙗𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥 𝙪𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 and process the information we see, hear, think and feel more freely. Oftentimes, we have all our attention to those four then get lost in thought when we all have a lot in our plates and can’t even begin to think where to start. Fret not, for these are natural occurrences as our minds are always toggling to cultivate hopes for the future and anticipate risks with lessons from the past.

That’s a good thing. That is mindfulness indeed. But this cycle of focusing too much on the past and the future can lead to becoming detached from what’s in front of you. Most likely, you’ll end up messing your plans or not start anything at all. When these thoughts go unchecked, they can be 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 and 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜.

It is a daily struggle sometimes and hard work, but happiness begins with your own attitude and how you look at the world. What you need to do is to 𝙩𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙗𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙨 𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙. Surround yourself with the things and people that inspire you and let go of the obsessions that want to take over your mind. It’s about living in the moment and appreciating even the smallest things. 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙙𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙮.

Planning events can be exhausting especially if you gotta do it alone. You may wanna start at something or somewhere after a tiring day or maybe you’ll plan ahead of time where your aganda meets your availability. There ain’t nothing wrong about it except it might incredibly be difficult if you’re getting home tired all the time. The problem starts when we stick to what is comfortable and get too complacent with our goals. This is where we get stagnant and fail to realise our potentials.

They say the blessings pour when it’s raining and though some people may love the idea of having a little rain shower, many event organizers don’t share this love. Why? Because it messes up some month-long or even year-long plans and more often, the entire event as well.
So if you’re planning an event amidst the season, these Tips will help you navigate some ways to plan your day despite the rain.

1. 𝙋𝙍𝙄𝙊𝙍𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙕𝙀 𝙄𝙉𝘿𝙊𝙊𝙍 𝙑𝙀𝙉𝙐𝙀𝙎

Don’t let the rain dampen your plans. You can still host a successful event with careful planning and preparation. First that you need to consider is your event location and ask yourself if it’s a suitable candidate for the weather.
Consider having a covered area for a venue to ensure that the attendees are protected whatever weather may occur. This way, you can also control the ambience and atmosphere in helping you create a memorable experience for you and your guests.

2. 𝙃𝘼𝙑𝙀 𝘼 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙉 𝘽

We all hope for a sunny day but rainy season is so unpredictable that it may essentially mess up your entire plans. A rainy-day back-up plan is not a bad idea. Including tents and umbrellas or including an indoor space if you’re planning an outdoor one can help you lessen the last-minute stress and complaints from attendees even in a terrible weather.

4. 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝘾𝙆 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙒𝙀𝘼𝙏𝙃𝙀𝙍 𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀𝘾𝘼𝙎𝙏

We know this goes without saying during the rainy season but being mindful with the weather up until the morning of the event will keep you informed, make decisions accordingly and take necessary precautions. The forecast will likely change quickly so check the forecast regulary and watch out for sudden changes.

Also, it’s best to pay attention to weather clue factors besides the rain. If it’s a bit windy, avoid canopies that aren’t sturdy. If the slies are grey, it’s safe to help your guests with some umbrellas on the side. Always prepare for the rain but it always helps to know what kind of weather will look like leading up to your event.
