ONE OF THE MOST AWAITED EVENT IN INTER-COLLEGES AND CAMPUSES ATHLETIC COMPETITION (ICCAC) IS BACK! 💚💚💚

I. DANCE CATEGORY
a. Modern Standard Category
b. Latin American Category
c. Third Kind (LGBTQIA++) Category 🏳️‍🌈

II. PARTICIPANTS

a. The contest is open to all the students of Southern Luzon State University (Main and Campuses).

b. Each participant may partner with other colleges/ campuses. No limits of participants

III. EVENT

a. MODERN STANDARD CATEGORY EVENT
b. LATIN AMERICAN CATEGORY
c. THIRD KIND (LGBTQIA++) CATEGORY

IV. MUSIC

a. Each dance must be executed in one minute and thirty seconds (1 min. & 30 secs) in group presentation and individual presentation
b. The organizing committee shall be responsible in selecting the music to be used during the competition proper

V. MECHANICS AND RULES
a. The judging of couples begins when they adopt their dancing positions and ends only when the music stops. The judge must check his/her marks during the entire dance and may amend them if necessary.

b. If the couples stop dancing while the music is being played, the couple must be placed last in the dance. If it happens during the final round, the couple must be placed last in that dance.

c. Couples must be judge solely on the performance in the specific dance at the specific time. Any consideration titles, previous performance of performance in the specified is not permitted.

d. A judge is under NO obligation to justify his/her marks to competing couples, during the competition or in the intervals between rounds of the competition, then judge if prohibited, from any discussion about the competitors and or their performance with another person.
e. In all dances timing and basic rhythm will take place proceeding over the other fields or justification, so that in a couple repeatedly makes mistakes in this category, they must be placed last in the dance.

f. Competing couples must be at the venue at least 1 or 2 hours before the start of the competition for final briefing/instructions.

g. Competing couples must be in proper attire with the assigned pinned at the back of the male partner.

h. Competitors must be dressed appropriately.

SOLO DANCE SPORTS TOURNAMENT 2021

I. DANCE CATEGORY
MODERN STANDARD CATEGORY

A. Slow Waltz
B. Tango
C. Quickstep

LATIN AMERICAN CATEGORY

A. Chachacha
B. Rumba
C. Jive

II. PARTICIPANTS

a. The contest is open to all the students of Southern Luzon State University (Main and Campuses).

b. Each college and campuses may submit a maximum of 4 participants (male or female) for each category.

III. EVENT

a. SOLO DANCE EVENT – Each participant will choose two (2) dances for their chosen category.
b. THREE DANCE EVENT – All participants should participate in this event.
NOTE: Each participant will participate in 3 events ( 2 Solo dance and Three dance event)

IV. MECHANICS AND RULES
a. Contestants must record a VIDEO of their performance with a maximum of 1 minute and 30 seconds for solo dances.

b. For the Three Dance Event, VIDEO should be WITHOUT cuts within each dance, NO editing/zooming/panning. It should be in a MEDLEY format. There will an interval of 10 seconds for each dance with a maximum of 1 minute and 30 seconds performance for each dance.

c. Preferred VIDEO is MP4 FORMAT, one camera set-up. It is suggested that you place your mobile device/camera on a tripod in a horizontal position (LANDSCAPE view), before recording, for better video quality.

d. You can choose your own music
e. Using of a wide space is advised.

f. The Video File should be renamed in this format Name of the Contestant_Event

ex. Johnny Dela Cruz_Cha Cha Cha Solo…. Or Maria Dela Cruz_3 Dance

g. Send the Video Entry until September 20, 2021, at 5 p.m. ONLY.
