Appreciation Post

When Cary Santiago gave me a personal call, I was ecstatic. He personally invited me to do a bridal show among the esteemed list of designers in Manila and Cebu. At the back of my head, I wanted to decline. I am always shy, and I rarely do shows. Cary told me, "You are on my radar, and your lines are clean, romantic, and elegant. You should be on my list." These are the reassuring words of my personal icon. How can I say no to a creative genius like Cary, whom I truly admire and respect?

Cary, you have no idea how honoured and grateful I am to be on your list.

Special thank you to Ms. Misty Zamora for all the assistance and TLC. You are such a sweetheart.

I would like to express my gratitude to Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino led by Ms. Feirlyn Decasa, Director of Events and Conventions, Ms. Fila Sofia, Management Trainee and the General Manager, Sir Ali Banting for their wonderful hospitality. Everything was taken care of, from their cordial greeting during our arrival till our departure.

Special thank you also to Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian and Bianca Manalo for giving us extra rooms for our gowns and staff.

I thought of incorporating the old Barongs of her father- the former Vice Mayor of Manila, the late Danny Lacuna to the Terno of Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna for her State of the City Address. We re- purposed the embroidery and Piña Fabric which were carefully cut, restored, draped and handstitched on to this Terno.
