FROM MANILA TO MILAN: DTI / Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, Philippine Fashion Coalition, Fondazione Sozzani, LIT Fashion Consultancy and Philippine Textile Research Institute launch a groundbreaking initiative – FASHIONPhilippines Milan Mentorship Program.

Designed to educate, expose, and embolden Filipino designers and local brands, the ambitious and game-changing initiative features a three-day exhibition in Milan presenting curated works by 10-15 chosen Filipino designers and fashion brands who qualify for the program. The exhibit will be held at the prestigious Fondazione Sozzani where countless famed fashion legends have exhibited.
To add to the excitement, this exhibit coincides with one of the most important fashion events in the world, Milan Fashion Week 2025 from September 23-25, 2025.
Prior to the exhibition, the selected Philippine designers and brands are given the opportunity to undergo a series of up-close mentoring sessions with a highly distinguished seven-member panel featuring renowned industry leaders led by Sara Sozzani Maino – Creative Director & International New Talent and Brand Ambassador , Riccardo Grassi of RG_showroom, Riccardo Terzo – Fashion Stylist & Consultant, Fashion Designer Niccolo Pasqualetti, Ryle Tuvierra – Barcelona-based Filipino-Syrian-Lebanese Fashion & Digital Creator, International brand collaborator (Barcelona), Giulia Gaudenzi – Women’s Lifestyle & Beauty buyer for Gaudenzi Boutique-Milan and Helena Boissonnas – Retail Expert & Buying Consultant with Le Bon Marché. The mentors will be hands-on in this program and intend to go in-depth and provide a truly inspiring and empowering interaction.
Call for Applications: Qualifications and Requirements from April 21 to June 13, 2025, designers or brands can submit their applications. In June 2025, the international jury will review and vet the entries, ensuring only the most promising talents are selected. The final list of chosen designers or brands will be officially announced soon after.
