I feel you!

Society has always told us that in order for us to be beautiful, we have to:

💄 Drastically “change” our look.
💄 Hide our imperfections”. (Are they really?)
💄 Look like "insert perfect here" and not yourself. 😣

We don’t need that because your beauty is unique and should be celebrated! 💜

Makeup should be empowering, instead of working against us and making us feel we need it to be adequate.

It is a powerful art, but made even better when used to bring out what is naturally and already there: You in your most radiant self!

To be honest, we sometimes that a look back at our work and find that awe that we have served SO MANY beautiful clients, we actually lost count. 😅

But you know what is really amazing? I remember EACH and every Bride and their faces. Each Bride has that signature glow and radiance. It’s unique and always memorable!

Like Bride Erica’s infectious and radiant smile! Don’t we just love that kind of happiness? 😍 I know I do! 💜

Hi Brides! Check out these helpful tips from The Wedding Tip Sheet by Darlene Tan - Salazar :D

These are tips I have heard over the years. Hair and make up artists, pls feel free to share more in the comment section :)

1) do not put anything on your face prior to the make up session so the artist can work on a blank canva so to speak

2) do not use conditioner so your hair will hold the style far longer

3) if it’s humid or too warm that you’ll sweat a lot, expect curls to be gone pretty quickly — plan for a more weather proof hairstyle

4) make up artists have different work hours — find out before booking so you will be clear about how early you need to wake up to prepare for your shoot

5) if you have certain allergies or skin concerns, let your artist know right away

6) if you will color or cut your hair, you should not do it too close to the wedding day — ask for advice from your HMUA to be safe

7) send pegs in advance so the artists can check out what you want prior to the big day

8) Sleep! Having too little sleep affects your skin.

9) Hydrate… it can do wonders for your skin.

10) if you want to start a skincare regimen — start early so you can see if it will work for you

(Personally though when I had a back acne breakout, what worked for me was not something I put on my back. Instead, what helped me was the antioxidant and vitamin drink I ingested. I didn’t know it would, but it did… so … happy dance.)

This one is from me: whatever is inside will shine through so let go of bad thoughts. Focus on being happy that you’re walking down the aisle to meet the man you chose to be with for the rest of your life. Your negative thoughts can affect the way you smile and even your eyes. So choose to be happy. Nothing can be absolutely perfect. But you can choose to see the beauty & blessings in what is happening.
