NEWS: Chrono.Tech Partners With MAS Talent Agency To Run Major Adoption Drive In Philippines
Australian-Filipino event producer and WSB Founder, Marco Selorio, will spearhead the initiative to level up employment opportunities via Chrono.tech’s blockchain services in the Philippines through his network of influencers.

Chrono.tech has established a partnership with MAS Presents, a leading talent agency run by Filipino-Australian entrepreneur Marco Selorio. The collaboration aims to drive jobs and user growth to Chrono.tech’s products in the key market of the Philippines through a series of online events.

Levelling Up in the Philippines

Selorio grew up in the Philippines and gained fame as a child actor in a popular TV series, before his family migrated to Australia, where he became the founder of international festival World Supremacy Battlegrounds, and managing director of digital talent agency MAS Music Group.

Selorio’s network now includes musicians, dancers, sports personalities, and other influencers, while he himself has become a significant influencer for the Filipino community and retains strong ties to his home country – leading to opportunities to break into the employment market with a grassroots initiative for LaborX and other Chrono.tech’s projects.

‘The Philippines has one of the highest rates of social and economic inequality in the world, and it’s getting worse,’ comments Selorio. ‘We can use LaborX to help people access far better employment opportunities than they have at home. There are many talented, driven freelancers who will be an amazing asset to global companies – if they are only given the chance.’

Raising awareness of LaborX and TimeX in the Philippines will be achieved through an extensive collaboration with Chrono.tech in an online ‘roadshow’ consisting of blockchain and cryptocurrency leadership webinars, a crypto employment expo, discussions in dedicated business groups, and partnerships with influencer networks – all with the aim of catalysing engagement, increasing reach and ultimately driving user registrations.

Doing Well By Doing Good

The other aim of the roadshow will be to bring more companies on board to provide jobs for the new influx of freelancers. As well as creating a group of business executives and tapping into international corporate networks, the partnership will explore the benefits of a physical or online jobs expo to stimulate employment opportunities.

‘This is a fantastic opportunity for LaborX, TimeX and the Chrono community to do well by doing good,’ says Chrono.tech founder, Sergei Sergienko. ‘It’s exactly the reason we launched our products: to allow freelancers who are locked out of good jobs to connect with employers all over the world, and lower the bar to vital financial services. PHILIPPINE ALLSTARS TAKE CENTRE STAGE AT WSB ‘06

The world conquering Philippine Allstars made history when they visited Australia at the 3rd Annual World Supremacy Battlegrounds in 2006.

The newly-crowned world champions at the time were invited by WSB Founder Marco Andre Selorio as a special guest.

It was the beginning of an enduring friendship between WSB and the much-loved Filipino dance superstars.

The eight Philippine Allstars OGs who performed at WSB ‘06 included Lema Diaz, head choreographer Kenjhons Serrano, Kyxz Mendiola, Tzy Salazar, Maya Carandang, Reagan Cornelio, Patrick ‘ Big Pat’ Caballa and Sheena Vera Cruz.

Their first-ever visit Down Under gave Australia a unique opportunity to experience the aura, humility and massive appeal that followed the Allstars.

Once the competition was finished, it was time for WSB’s special main event. As soon as the Allstars hit centre stage, the delirious, jam-packed Sydney Olympic Park Sports stadium delivered a thundering applause. “Snap yo fingers” brought the house down as the Allstars showed off all their signature moves, bboy flair and delivered an empowering routine on the dance floor. The appreciative crowd roared and gave the international guests a standing ovation.

WSB Founder Marco Andre Selorio was super excited about his initial contact with the Philippine Allstars.

“I heard about this new Philippine crew that won a dance championship in the USA. I wanted them to visit Australia and inspire our growing street dance community. At the time, it was our first time to invite an international crew to showcase at WSB. I didn’t realise how much positive energy and major impact they would leave us. They are truly hip-hop dance pioneers.”

One of the Allstars OGs, resident Bboy Maya Carandang, vividly remembers his first WSB experience.

“I was soooooo nervous! We were so excited about coming to Australia and we wanted to connect with everyone. We followed our choreographer Kenjhons to make sure we gave WSB a great show. After that, I was relieved and felt better,” said Carandang.

The Philippine Allstars’ legacy continues to this day.

Their presence at WSB fourteen years ago paved the way for the launch of Battlegrounds (formerly Groove) in the Philippines the following year (2007). Naturally, the whole squad became the front cover of Battlegrounds Philippines posters nationwide.

Six of their top dancers eventually returned to Australia in 2012 alongside Tight Eyez, ReQuest Crew and GoGo Brothers to headline “Champions Tour”, a whirlwind six-city dance concert tour presented by MÁS. One of the former Allstars choreographers, Patrick ‘Lil Pat” Romero, is currently the Battlegrounds Philippines National country director.
