This small catering service company in the City of Marikina derives its name from the patron saint of the barangay where it was founded – San Roque. Its owners –husband and wife Nelson and Tina Guiterrez – first started out their business as a simple venue where Marikeños and people from

neighboring communities can celebrate their special occasions in an ideal setting. While on several trips to the U.S. , Nelson and Teena also began honing their culinary skills and experience in this food industry there by conducting small catering projects for Filipino communities in the U.S. As people began flocking to Patio de Tata Roque, they decided to take their enterprising spirit, passion for good food, and aspirations to create a complete special dining experience. The company’s satisfied clientele now includes both individuals and corporate accounts. Patio de Tata Roque continues to meet the discriminating requirements of its clients, tailor-fitting events and menus to the occasion and matching it with competitive rates and high-valued service to make celebrations a memorable experience.

Strengthening Economic Ties: An Official Partnership Between India and FCAP

A significant milestone in the expansion of our food service industry. The Embassy of India recently hosted a meeting attended by officials from the Food Caterers Association of the Philippines (FCAP), marking the formal establishment of a partnership that promises to elevate the food service industry in both countries.

Leading the delegation from FCAP were Danny Jacinto, Francis T. Sevilla, Jr., Irma San Miguel, Elizabeth Rafael, Marie Taleon, Cristina Guttierez, Jeremiah Ayson, Alain Taleon, and Nelson Guttierez.

This collaboration between the Federation of Indian Export Organizations and FCAP signals a mutual commitment to shared growth and innovation.

During the meeting, Dr. Sadre Alam, the Head of the Economic & Commerce Wing of India, conveyed India's strategic vision to enhance the economic relationship with the Philippines. As part of this collaborative effort, a series of activities and initiatives are set to launch next year. These endeavors aim to fortify the food service industry, opening new avenues for trade and cultural exchange.

Embassy of India and Food Caterers Association of the Philippines to strengthen ties for the Advancement the Food Service Industry

The Embassy of India through Dr. Sadre Alam, Head of Economic and Commerce Wing invited the Food Caterers Association of the Phillippines (FCAP) to establish a bilateral economic and commercial relationship between India and FCAP. It is expected to discuss and explore the potential partnership between India and the Philippines.

Said invitation will be attended by Officers of FCAP—Danny Jacinto, Francis T. Sevilla, Jr., Irma San Miguel, Elizabeth Rafael, Marie Taleon, Cristina Guttierez, Jeremiah Fernando Ayson and Jenny King on November 5, 2024.
