This may have been one of your first selfies as a married couple. And I am so happy to have captured it but I am happier that you chose us to share this Kabanata of your life with. 2 years ago today. Know that you’re one of my favorite couple because you are not just a client to me you are our friend and family. Your wedding was overflowing with food, guests, music, tears, love and well wishes! The -ber months are here and the events season has begun.

Events, be it birthdays, christenings, weddings or a Sunday brunch is a little too different from how it used to be.

What did not change, though, is the feeling of celebrating the milestones with our loved ones.

And for us, the events professionals and events enthusiasts, in us is still the-show-must-go-on spirit and the passion to turn your event inyo a celebration. We will be with you every step of the way. 😊

It's been a while since our last event. I am missing every bit of what an event is like - early morning call times, team briefing over coffee and breakfast, some chaos during the preps, amazingly talented co-suppliers, unique details, the sight of an intricately designed gown over a body form, creative photo shoots, laughter and excitement from family and friends, the bridal march, that moment when a couple exchange their i dos, lively reception program and the late night end to it.

I miss the continuous sound of my printer as it gets out pages upon pages of task lists and on-the-day timelines. I miss the amazing girls with whom I work with who make each event easy, breezy and fun. I miss the chikahan, picturean and okrayan. I miss the coffee shop meetings with my lovely couples. And I miss being part of one important Kabanata of people who, even for so briefly, shared with me and my team their love story and their life story.

It may still take a while before the events industry is back the way it used to. But a milestone is a milestone. Covid-19 should not stop you from celebrating a Kabanata (of course while observing safety protocols). And just like before, Kabanata Events is still committed to make things easier for you. Let's talk!

February 29 is an amazing day that comes only once every 4 years. We can probably say that most of the time, it does not “exist”. This day actually marks a “leap” in time, when the days in the calendar adjust to accommodate the extra seconds accumulated over the past 3 years due to the rotation of the earth. I believe that this is a day of unlocked potential, of exceptional gems and of delightful and daring moments .

True to taking a leap, on this day, my team and I spent it on making it memorable as we shared in the celebration of Ruth and Herbert’s love, togetherness, blessings, family and friendships. This was a day of overflowing glow, glamour, food, friends, music and flowers.

To Captain and Mrs. Herbert Jr. and Ruth Delos Santos, my team and I, wish you a lifetime of greater graces, more wins and endless blessing. True to the tune of their first dance, this wedding is indeed UNFORGETTABLE.

The beautiful day was a result of 1 year of planning. It may have not been in the venue originally planned, but the turnout was as splendid as expected. At some points even more than what we expected. The entire day was smooth and the celebration was filled with gratefulness, love, friendship and well wishes.

I must say this is a match made in heaven. They have their whole day planned out already until their supposed emcee suddenly cannot make it. Tel, the bride, called me up and we scheduled a meeting- ONE day before their BIG day. It was only then when we conceptualized their program flow. On the wedding day, it was perfect.

It was indeed a celebration of love and of family. This is my second wedding with this family and every time, my eyes tear up with happy tears. Because I feel the love and the warmth of all the guests for the couple.

Thank you Salmark and Chrystel for allowing me to be part of your love story. Cheers to your blissful forever!

Before Mama Dulce’s birth month ends, I would like to go back to last year when she celebrated her 80th birthday. It was a surprise birthday bash thrown for her by the family headed of course by her jack of all trades eldest daughter, Auntie Rhoda.

Vito and I flew to the States to be there in this milestone of her life. And then, as we helped in the preparations and planned for the day of the party, I was also making a milestone for Kabanata Events. This is the first of Kabanata’s many more international events 🙂.

It was our Auntie Ninang Rhoda who started all the plans and then the rest of the family cooperated to run errands, perform in the program and assist in any way possible.

To this day, I am thankful to Mama Dulce for staying strong and healthy so that we may celebrate events like this one with her and of course to Auntie Ninang Rhoda for recognizing mine and Vito’s efforts as Kabanata Events’.

On Mama Dulce’s 81st birthday, I am sure one of her wishes is for Kabanata Events to make more memorable Kabanatas not only for the family but for others too.

This day, we were fairy godmothers to Jaimie, a darling, little, fairy princess who just turned 1. Her christening and birthday celebration was one of the grandest we’ve handled so far. Her venue was styled to be fit for a fairy princess - a ballroom generously adorned with flowers, lights, balloons and butterfly wings. She had concert performers, magicians and a bubble man. She served a feast of dishes and desserts. She gave away tokens specially handcrafted for her godparents. And all of her moments she made sure to be captured in photos and videos that she can go back to.

Thank you to Mayor Joshua Viray, Madam Atty Mo Li Monje Viray and to their Little Princess Jaimie for allowing Kabanata Events to be part of this milestone in your life as a family as Jaimie’s little dreams take flight.

We hope we made it for you as memorable a Kabanata for me and my team. Jaimie is blessed to have parents like you who celebrate her both in simple and in grand ways and you are blessed to have Jaimie fill your lives with smiles and sparkles.

I must say this couple has grown close to me as we prepared for their big day. I kind of felt like a big sister to them seeing to it that everything will be in its place on their wedding day. It made it very easy to work with them because of their humility - they accepted most if not all my suggestions (details and suppliers) and they were so honest in parts where they needed help. I am very proud of these 2. And I am very proud of how their wedding came out as a reality of their dream!

December is family time for me. While it’s the peak season for most event handlers, this month is the leanest for me as I choose to spend it with family.

But, I said yes to host the wedding of these 2 beautiful couples - Jona and JV (Mango Farm) and Zara and Jumbo (Sonya’s Garden) - both so charming and accommodating.

May main reason, though, is that these events didn’t seem like work because I was with people I consider my family too - JSO WEDDINGS AND EVENTS. Thank you JSO for keeping me in your list of trusted event hosts.
