In Japan, during the war, this boy was carrying his dead brother on his back to bury him. A soldier noticed him and asked him to throw this dead child so that he would not get tired. He replied:
He's not heavy, he's my brother!
The soldier understood and broke down in tears.
Since then, this image has become a symbol of unity in Japan.
Let this be our motto:
"He's not heavy. He's my brother... She's my sister."
If he falls, raise him.
Even if you get tired, help him,
And if his support is weak,
And if he makes a mistake, forgive him
And if the world abandons him, carry him on your back, because he is not heavy
he is your brother...

A 60-year-old woman was arrested by the Makati Police on Wednesday after shoplifting imported canned goods, chocolates, and body sprays worth P2,577.

According to the police report, the suspect was spotted by the branch manager of the shop discreetly taking the items and putting them inside her bag through the CCTV. She then immediately fled from the shop without paying.

The arrest of the elderly woman has prompted netizens to compare the treatment she received to that of former first lady Imelda Marcos, which they deem as a “double standard” in law enforcement.

Marcos, 91 years old, was convicted by the Sandiganbayan with seven counts of graft in 2018 yet she remains free after posting P300,000 bail in December.

In November that year, the police was criticized for their lack of presence around Marcos when an order for her arrest was released. Then PNP chief Oscar Albayalde explained that they had to consider her age and that they didn't see her as a threat. (Photo courtesy of Southern Police District)
