HOMEMADE BEEF BURGER PATTIES WITH MUSHROOM SAUCE 👍🏻
If you’re craving for fast food- style burger with mushroom sauce, you can actually do this at home! And you can make it fresh then store extra patties in the freezer for future use 😁

Just a tip, always buy the FRESHEST meat (not frozen) from trusted sources, because the quality of meat affects the overall beefy taste of the burger. I also do 70% LEAN ground beef and 30% regular ground beef to get the juiciness that I like ❤️

There are several easy and good recipes online; I have mine too... but will update this post with the recipe since I’m still tweaking it to get the right flavor that I want for the patty. ✌️

🌟New product discovery!!!🌟
Delimondo’s bottled PESTO sauce ❤️❤️❤️

For one bottle and the price, I would say, it’s worth it! Half a bottle can feed 3 people. We just cooked pasta, mixed it with the pesto sauce, and topped it with cast-iron grilled chicken (seasoned with only salt, pepper and garlic powder). A healthy and very easy restaurant-level dish for busy people👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Try it!

It’s been a while since I posted moms! ✌️Been busy with my “baby” project... I just took pictures of our everyday meals, and I’m collecting them. So I hope I can update you by posting more often ❤️

PORK HUMBA 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There are lots of different ways to cook this dish... but we love it with black beans (tausi), pineapple chunks and juice, and saba.

It’s a one pot dish I would say, but if you have a pressure cooker, it will save a lot of time. I cook the pork knuckles first in the pressure cooker, before I cook it with the rest of the ingredients.

Check out this authentic Visayan recipe from https://www.foxyfolksy.com/pork-humba/

Note: feel free to adjust the level of sugar and vinegar. That’s what i do too!

HAPPY WEEKEND!!! 🎉

Got my stash of freshly made juices from .ph!!! Every time I drink a bottle, I feel refreshed, energized and cleansed in a way, since all juices are fiber rich and loaded with 5-6 fresh veggies or fruits in one bottle! Nutrionist-approved👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻❤️There are different flavors and benefits to choose from that will suit your needs. TRY IT too!
Follow their IG page for more details. Thanks mommy 😘

ALMONDIGAS WITH PATOLA AND MISUA 👍🏻 As advised by nutritionists, try to increase fiber intake by adding more veggies into your usual one-pot meat dishes.

If you’re planning to cook almondigas (we call it bola-bola too), add patola 5 minutes before turning off the fire. Drizzle with toasted garlic and spring onions for more flavor!

HAPPY SUNDAY!!! 🥰

Another simple and healthy dish for the family! 👌AMPALAYA & EGG GUISADO. During our health webinar today about Functional Foods, our nutritionist speaker talked about Ampalaya (especially the leaves) helping to control blood sugar. So preggy moms like me...this might be our best friend!👍🏻

Tip before cooking the ampalaya... slice and soak in water with salt for anout an hour. Squeeze out the water using your clean hands to lessen bitterness.

For this recipe which can serve 3 persons, i used chopped garlic, 1 medium onion, 1 ampalaya, 3 large eggs, salt, pepper and a little patis. Topped with toasted garlic. I just sauteed the first 3 ingredients, put a little water to cook the ampalaya and then stirred in the eggs and seasonings. You can also add a pinch or two of sugar since we’re not using MSG... Ready in 10 minutes!!! 🤩 Ampalaya is a good source potassium, carbohydrates, fiber, Vit A and D.

Happy cooking!

July is Nutrition month so I will be posting veggie dishes! :)

My all-time fave simple dish! TORTANG TALONG! ❤️🍆 Masarap with banana ketchup and toyo with s**a! My tip is the grill and peel the eggplants first before putting eggs with salt and pepper. 👌 I sometimes also put chopped onions and bellpeppers in the egg mixture just for added flavor.
Another option is to saute ground pork with garlic, onions and bellpepper and add that to the egg mixture.

So many things you can do with your torta! Breakfast, lunch, dinner pwede!
😀HAPPY COOKING!!

Since it’s Nutrition month, I’m sharing our advocacy of helping Filipinos, most especially the busy workforce, in maintaining a healthier lifestyle through proper nutrition and wellness cooking 🙏

My partner, mommy and nutritionist of .ph, and I are offering webinars or short online seminars to companies who are interested in health and wellness and other topics such as easy home cooking, kitchen gardening, yoga and exercise, etc. to ensure that employees and their families build the right immunity and mental health in this time of “new normal.”

We’ve been doing this with Coca-Cola and Unilever since May and hopefully, we can help more companies. To our HR friends, please let us know if you are interested or you can send a message to me or Joy. Kindly help spread the word! Thank you 😊

Do you miss your go-to Buffalo wings restaurant? Don’t worry! You can easily cook it AT HOME! Mix and match with your favorite sauces and dips and a bottle of Coca-cola! ❤️

Note to self: Pag sinipag, don’t forget to cut up chicken wings!
Was too lazy to chop so i cooked the whole thing😅 ➡️see next photo for guide how to chop.

For fried chicken, I used this reliable recipe from Tasty for the chicken wings— https://tasty.co/recipe/the-best-crispy-buffalo-wings

And for the buffalo sauce, I used this recipe— https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/219109/buffalo-chicken-wing-sauce/ . But since my hubby can’t eat foods that are too spicy, i reduced the hot sauce to 6 table spoons only and added 2 tablespoons of honey. So the sauce as you can see in my photo is not too thick as well. And we liked it that way! Serve it with blue cheese dip or ranch dip!

I also made Parmesan garlic sauce for the other chicken wings with 4 simple ingredients. Grated Parmesan cheese, butter, garlic powder and ground pepper (plus a little salt if you want) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
ENJOY!

Who doesn’t love Classic Filipino CHICKEN TINOLA? 😍 Easy chicken soup in broth with ginger, sayote/green papaya, sili leaves/ malunggay. It’s not just healthy, it also warms your heart and tummy!

If you want a different twist— try using COCONUT water, and it becomes BINAKOL (originated from Aklan). Add also the coconut meat and a little tanglad (lemongrass) 🙌🙌🙌

KAIN NA! 👍🏻

RICE AND SHINE! 🌞🌞🌞
FRIED RICE in the morning are always the BEST! 😍😍🌞 So easy to make and tasty, sometimes we even eat it as is— without ulam 😂
My personal favorites are:
1) Yangchow fried rice ➡️ https://www.chinasichuanfood.com/chinese-fried-rice-yangzhou-fried-rice/

2) Nasi Goreng (Indonesian Fried Rice) ➡️
https://www.google.com.ph/amp/s/www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/nasi-goreng-indonesian-stir-fried-rice%3famp
3) Sinangag - I’m sure everyone knows this👍🏻
And of course, our own homemade recipe from our Lola which uses simple ingredients like onions, egg, chorizo, soysauce and spring onions ❤️❤️❤️

You can easily craft your own fried rice recipe with the ingredients in your ref/pantry, just don’t forget to cook extra rice at night so you can cook it in the morning 🌞

How about you, what’s your favorite FRIED RICE RECIPE? you can share it here! :)

Hi moms and cooks! Hope you’re doing well ❤️Apologies for not posting in a while as I’ve been busy lately with homeschooling preparations, etc 🤗

Here’s another family fave and bestseller in our cafeteria service before... PORK BINAGOONGAN WITH GRILLED TALONG 🍆 i always cook this when I’m in a rush. You can either boil the pork first until tender, then saute with the ingredients and bagoong (easier for me) OR you can make it lechon kawali style, deep fried to crisp and topped with the bagoong after (equally yum!) 👍🏻👍🏻 Add grilled or fried eggplant on the side.

It’s just easy... if you have a ready-made bagoong or the store bought ones like , just saute - chopped garlic, onions, a small slice of ginger (optional), 1-2 pcs chopped fresh tomatoes, then put a little water and add the cooked pork. Simmer. If you want it a little spicy, add green chillies.

If you want the crispy lechon kawali style, you can prepare the lechon kawali (check out Panlasang Pinoy for the recipe) then top the cooked bagoong👍🏻

Personally, I cook my bagoong from scratch using my own homemade recipe... but I’m sure, since most of us are busy, you can still enjoy this meal even with the ready-made ones you can buy from your neighbors (support local🙌🙌🙌) or stores nearby.

Happy cooking!

Teach them young 🌱🌿 You and your kids can enjoy ORGANIC GARDENING at your own backyard! It is the best way to make your household sustainable. Grow fresh herbs, veggies and fruit bearing plants. Make sure you have rich soil— I use Orgamix... AND have lots of patience! 🙌 Swipe to see the plants we’ve grown over the ECQ period 👍🏻

If you love indoor plants and flowers, place them around the house too— they don’t just help make the air clean, but they also give you a calmer mind and help relieve stress! 😌

HAPPY PLANTING!

Good morning! Again, nothing so special about this dish... CHAR-GRILLED SALT&PEPPER LIEMPO served with SAUTEED VEGGIES WITH OYSTER MUSHROOMS. 😍 Just a reminder to always have a balanced diet with the right amount of protein and fiber.
For the sauteed veggies — just saute garlic, onions, carrots, baguio beans and oyster mushrooms, add salt and pepper and finish of by drizzling sesame oil. Just a simple side dish for any meal 👍🏻

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO ALL AWESOME DADS!!! 👏👏👏Cheers!

Rainy days 🌧 + WARM SOUP 🍲= always the best feeling ever! 😍

My all-time favorite dish since I was a child is NILAGANG BAKA partnered with fish sauce with calamansi. ❤️

If you’re in a hurry and you need a one pot recipe while doing work/chores, this is for you! Tenderize the beef in a pressure cooker if you even have even less time to cook. Lots of recipes over the internet with the simplest ingredients so you won’t go wrong. 👍🏻 You can do this with pork too!

MONGGO SOUP with CHICHARON AND FRIED DILIS 🌿
I must say, Monggo is one of the simplest dishes to make but one of the most satisfying dishes in every home.

👍🏻Tipid tip: I usually cook my monggo soup with either fresh chicken bones (whenever i have my chicken parts deboned) or pork bones and a little fat to make it more flavorful. No need to add MSG...
I like crunchy toppings too! But since I cannot decide whether to put chicharon () or fried dilis... I put both!!! Why not? 😂 TRY IT!! Super yummy!!!!

PS- Reminiscing our “Monggo days” in Coca-Cola PH’s canteen... this was always a bestseller!!! Partnered with fried tilapia!😍

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 Free yourself from guilt with this PLANT-BASED sisig!🌿🌱

MUSHROOM SISIG 👍🏻 I’ve tried the fresh oyster mushrooms from , thanks to my friend and neighbor Regina for the supply ❤️
Instead of your usual Pork Sisig recipe, try using mushrooms instead for a much healthier meal! You can deep fry the chopped mushrooms first before sauteing it with the rest of the ingredients. ⬅️swipe left for the ingredients. For the sisig sauce, I used Knorr Liquid Seasoning, a little sugar, salt and pepper and finished it off with mayonnaise!

Will talk more about plant-based diet in my next posts. 🌱🌿Happy Fri-yay!!!
