The Export Training of Trainers at PTTC-GMEA brought together export trainers, business enablers, trade facilitators, industry experts, and government employees for an intensive three-day learning experience. From March 24-26, 2025, participants gained in-depth knowledge of export procedures, trade agreements, and global market access—equipping them to train MSMEs and exporters effectively.

Expert-led sessions covered essential topics such as INCOTERMS 2020, export costing and pricing, and the role of AI in international sales. Interactive workshops and case studies provided hands-on learning, while an educational tour at DHL Express Philippines offered real-world insights into export packaging and logistics.

The training concluded with discussions on export marketing strategies, negotiation techniques, and digital tools for global expansion, leaving participants with actionable insights to drive export success. The event wrapped up with closing messages from esteemed speakers, including Elsa Dela Paz Valenzuela, Atty. Rami Hourani, and Ma. Fe J. Avila.

On March 21, 2025, the Bureau of Immigration participated in the Introduction to Six Sigma training, an exclusive session designed to enhance process efficiency and continuous improvement. Held in Intramuros, Manila, the training was led by Mr. Henry Palaca as the Resource Speaker and Mr. Gerard Matthew Arcamo as the Learning Delivery Specialist.

The Philippine Trade Training Center-Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA) kicked off the Export Training of Trainers (TOT) Program, today, March 24, 2025, bringing together industry experts, trade professionals, and export enablers for an intensive learning experience. This multi-day training aims to equip trainers and organizations with the latest knowledge and skills to help businesses succeed in international trade.

Day 1 started with Opening Remarks from Ma. Fe J. Avila, OIC-Executive Director of PTTC, followed by an Orientation on Integration Mechanics led by Mr. Raymond Cardino, Program Development Specialist, providing an overview of the program.

Participants explored the benefits of exporting in the session "Why Export?", facilitated by Dir. Bianca Pearl R. Sykimte, Director of DTI-EMB. This was followed by a discussion on the Export Process with Ms. Lorraine Villegas, Customs Operations Officer III at NAIA-BOC, who shared important insights on customs procedures, compliance, and documentation.

In the afternoon, Mr. Cris John Garcia, Strategic Global Logistics and Vendor Management Lead at Monde Nissin, discussed International Trade Agreements & Incoterms 2020, helping participants understand global trade policies and logistics strategies.

The day ended with Ms. Cailey Stevens from the International Trade Centre, who introduced the Export Potential Map, a tool to help trainers identify high-potential export markets.

The Philippine Trade Training Center - Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA) has implemented a revised flexible work arrangement (FWA) for its employees, consisting of four days onsite and one day remote each week, effective September 16, 2024.

The updated flexible work arrangement, in accordance with CSC Memorandum Circular No. 06, series 2022 dated 06 June 2022 and CSC Resolution No. 2400579 which outlines the Internal Guidelines on the Adoption of Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) issued on 10 July 2024, aims to support the organization's sustainability goals. Under the new policy, all appointive officials and employees, regardless of their status of appointment, as well as Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order workers, will be reporting to office from Monday to Thursday, and will work remotely every Friday.

"We believe that this revised Flexible Work Arrangement will empower our employees to achieve a better work-life balance while simultaneously contributing to our nation-building goals," said Ma. Fe J. Avila, OIC Executive Director of PTTC-GMEA. "By embracing flexible work practices and prioritizing sustainability, we can foster a more productive, engaged, and environmentally conscious workforce that is equipped to drive positive change in our country."
