When Manila airport issues a “Red Alert” or ”Yellow Alert” lightning advisory, airlines are required to suspend or limit ground and flight servicing activities at the airport, which could result in delays to flights, boarding, deplaning and baggage release.

The alerts are needed to protect the safety of our passengers and personnel when thunderstorms occur in the vicinity of the airport during the monsoon season in Manila. We seek your kind understanding as we put your safety first.
