Who are we and Why choose us? Started by Amond Olivar-Laceste. Yep, you’ve heard it right!

She is a graduate of BS Nursing at the University of the Philippines. Even as a practicing registered nurse, she always had a knack for organizing parties and planning small events for her families and friends. And it was in 2010 when she decided that her passion for planning events, most specially weddings, should be professionalized and taken to the next level. In May 2010, Celebracion Weddings

and Events was born. In September 2012 we became an official affiliate of Weddings Beautiful Worldwide Philippine Branch. This 2015, Amond obtained her title as Certified Wedding Planner, conferred by Weddings Beautiful Worldwide. We, in Celebracion believe that ordinary should never be part of one’s vocabulary. Something, if not everything, has to be special or memorable in any event, thus at Celebracion, we promise to take your event a notch higher. We are a company both Manila- and Palawan-based that has organized/coordinated different events from weddings to birthdays to graduation parties and even fundraising activities and reunions. Our team is composed of dynamic, creative, and holistic (not to mention awesome) professionals, who are mostly nurses. We are registered nurses. You may find it amusing to see healthcare people working on events, but for us, working with Celebracion means long-lasting memories, driving the “extra mile”, and Tender Loving Care (TLC) and these spell the difference. And the BONUS, since we are trained to manage stress, work under pressure, and even handle emergencies (we hope you won't be needing the last one :-D ), rest assured, your relaxing and worry-free event is on us! So just savor your moment and carpe diem!

One of the greatest blessings of serving couples is seeing how our work impacts their lives. This a review from one of our dear couples who posted in the W@W Community. They sent it to us personally. Trivia: The W@w Community is a safe space where couples share genuine and honest feedback (or rants) about their experiences with vendors. No wedding vendors are allowed inside so there is no way we'll be able to read reviews, unless someone sends it to us.😆

This review made our day. Kaya pala, whenever we ask couples how did they come to know us, some would tell that they read reviews of some w@wies. Nakakataba po ng puso.

An elopement turned family reunion.

When the bride inquired from us, their initial plan was an elopement with 6 guests. But that was 2 months before the wedding. Fast forward and...their final guest count was 25! They decided to invite their extended family and celebrate with them. Wedding day came, everyone was relaxed and was having fun, from their photoshoot down to their afterparty (where everyone was dancing budots)! Indeed, the elopement became a family reunion on one of the beautiful beaches in Palawan.
..and we are sure the couple knew they made the best decision of their lives.🩷

Kuwentong Singsing

Habang nagliligpit ako ng aming emergency wedding bag, nakita ko etong rings na'to. May naka-engraved pang names - Daisy and Lemuel. Daisy is one of our 3 event managers. So I texted Daisy. Tinanong ko kung bakit nasa bag ng Celebracion yung kanilang mga singsing. Nagulat din siya! Kaya pala hindi na daw niya makita, naiwan pala sa bag! Hahaha BTS story: In one of our weddings, toddler pa ang ring bearer. Our sop pag ganito is to hand over the real rings to the best man. But since gusto ni couple na maglakad ang bearer with the pillow and the rings on it, we decided to use dummy rings para kahit maitapon o mapaglaruan eto, safe ang wedding rings. At that time, wala ang dummy rings na ginagamit namin (baka isa sa mga naitapon ng mga previous ring bearers 😅), kaya ginamit ni Daisy yung kanilang precious promise rings (hindi ko na alam kung ipinagpaalam pa niya kay Lemuel hahaha). At maayos namang nailakad ng ring bearer ang pillow with the promise rings.👍 Niloko ko pa si Daisy nung nakita ko yung singsing. Sabi ko, "Siguro Php299 lang eto kaya hindi mo na hinanap." Sagot niya, "Teh, Php199 nga lang po." Hahaha

This story reminds me of the many times that our coordinators have to drive the extra mile just to make things happen. Marami pang kuwento. Madalas, nagugulat na lang kami na nagawa namin yun at madalas din, hindi na nakakarating sa couple ang mga out-of-the box stories namin hahaha bottomline, basta kaya ng powers namin at happy sina couple at the end...yun lang, sapat na :)

Goodluck sa wedding today! Ang promise rings mo, ready na ulit magamit.🩷

And in March 2016, we pioneered another professional organization, Weddings and Events Professionals Association of the Philippines (WEPAP). We, in Celebracion believe that ordinary should never be part of one’s vocabulary. Something, if not everything, has to be special or memorable in any event, thus at Celebracion, we promise to take your event a notch higher. We are a company both Manila- and Palawan-based that has organized/coordinated different events from weddings to birthdays to graduation parties and even fundraising activities and reunions. We, however, specialize in destination weddings. Our team is composed of dynamic, creative, and holistic (not to mention awesome) professionals. You may find it amusing to see professionals with varied backgrounds working on events (we have nurses, engineer, IT specialist, and soon-to-be lawyer, to name a few), but for us, working with Celebracion means long-lasting memories, driving the “extra mile”, and a Tender, Loving Care (TLC) and it spells the difference.
