See you this Sunday, everyone - we're going to be here rain or shine! This update is brought to you in response to news of Typhoon Pepito, & TEAM LATAGAN joins everyone in wishing all to be safe. As we have learned, the supertyphoon will affect mostly the northern part of the country, and hope our brothers & sisters in the affected regions be safe. That said, we will ensure that we do our part to have as safe an environment as possible during the event.

Everyone is invited to our Christmas event, the Joyful Blessings Bazaar! The first in the 3-part series begins November 17, at the Activity Center 2F Gyud Food in UP Diliman, on E. Jacinto Avenue, right across from the UP College of Fine Arts. The 2nd will be on Dec. 1st, & we will host the last one on Dec. 15, all Sundays, starting 10am until 8pm.

We are so grateful to everyone who attended & supported our Love, Ghibli: Latagan at Gyud Food, UP Diliman today, from the merchants to the guests, the cosplayers and the shoppers, our regulars and the first timers to our events! To Sir James of Gyud Food and his awesome staff: maraming salamat po for your kindness and great work, we always are so well taken cared of by you all.

After much discussion, Team Latagan will try to see if we can manage to host another event / series of events. Please like & follow our page for more updates, and once again, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!

The Love, Ghibli: Latagan at Gyud Food, UP Diliman is up & running! Our merchants have been at it getting their wares ready for all you Ghibli-loving people out there, and judging by their collections you better be budol-ready😅😁😅

Our FREE FILM SHOWING starts at 1pm, and we hope to have Cosplayers later for a Cosplay parade at 4pm. Best in Cosplay wins Gcash P1000 and a gorgeous red randoseru / Japanese schoolkid backpack (check the pictures for the randoseru prize!)

We're here til 8pm at the Gyud Food 2F Activity Center in UP Diliman, so do drop by and join in the fun!

A note to all cosplayers who want to attend the Love, Ghibli: Latagan event: you are ALL welcome to join us in any of your family-friendly cosplay attire! However, only those in specific Ghibli costume will be eligible for the Best in Cosplay competition. Also, if we have at least 12 cosplayers who are willing, then our Cosplay parade will push through [the competition however will still be ongoing]. Clarification lang po, and hopingwishingpraying maraming Cosplayers ang mag-attend!

Our post has been reacted to over 3,000 times, shared over 400 times, viewed on screens at least 200,000 times, and has reached over 200,000 individuals since Aug. 8 - your support is overwhelming!

As a thank you, the first 3 guests of the event who shows us on their phones that they shared the post at least 5 times on their social media accounts between Aug. 8 & 30 will receive a Love Ghibli gift package from Team Latagan, worth at least P1,000 each. The contents will include postcards, stickers & other exciting prizes. The shared posts must include the ff. tags: & & be posted by an open account [not a locked profile account], and when shared must do so PUBLICLY [so others can see what you shared]. No proxies please, the person sharing must be the one to claim the prize.

Inspired by the artists & crafters who in turn have their imagination fired up by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, Team Latagan now brings you the latest in our line-up of events!

We invited merchants, artists & crafters to showcase their wares as influenced by My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Tales from Earthsea, Nausicaa Valley of the Wind, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, The Secret World of Arrietty and all the other Ghibli films. Thanks to Simbolo Arts&Signs we will be having a FREE FILM SHOWING starting 1pm. The films to be shown are My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, & Howl's Moving Castle. Seats will be limited so it's first-come, first served.

If we have at least 12 registrants, we shall have a Cosplay parade at 4pm. Those who wish to join can register 2 ways:
1. email us at [email protected] & headline your email LOVE GHIBLI COSPLAY REGISTRATION. If you register by email, no fees will be charged. Deadline for email registration is August 25, 2024 at 11pm.
2. register at the Organizer's table on the day of the event itself from 1pm to 3pm. A P50 fee will be charged for same-day registration.
An authentic randoseru / Japanese schoolkid backpack will be awarded to the best in Cosplay at the Cosplay parade, & P1,000 Gcash. All registrants will receive a sticker pack worth P150 from Team Latagan.

Inspired by the artists & crafters who in turn have their imagination fired up by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, Team Latagan now brings you the latest in our line-up of events!

Love, Ghibli: Latagan is a Studio Ghibli-inspired fair to be held on September 1, Sunday at the 2f Activity Center of the awesome Gyud Food in UP Diliman, from 10am to 8pm.

We are inviting 35 merchants, artists & crafters to showcase their wares influenced by My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Tales from Earthsea, Nausicaa Valley of the Wind, Ponyo, Howl's Moving Castle, The Secret World of Arrietty and all the other Ghibli films.

We also hope to have a Cosplay parade, photo corner, Ghibli quizbee, on-the-spot drawing & painting competitions, maybe a clay workshop if we find a willing teacher!

Hi everyone! It's been a while since our last event - we decided to rest a moment and deal with a few things closer to home.

This is an INTEREST CHECK / SURVEY only post: we are wondering if you would be interested in joining a Studio Ghibli-themed selling event with us.

This is in response to requests by a few individual merchants asking us to organize one, but we need at least 30 merchants to fill up the space and make it sustainable for us as the organizers.

The basic details would be:

Lease fee: P900 minimum
Lease space: 4ft x 6ft BARE space [no tables or chairs provided, but we encourage our sellers to sell "latagan" style [on a carpet / rug / mat / blanket / tarp etc. on the floor]. If the merchant insists on bringing a table for their display, the space may be bigger but the lease price will be higher as well.
Date: to be finalized, but definitely on a Sunday [it's been proven that Sundays have high foot traffic at Gyud Food due to the bikers & joggers, & churchgoers that frequent UP Diliman]
Time: 10am to 9pm [egress as early as 4pm is allowed to provide rest for parents / employees / students who have commitments the next day]
Merchandise restrictions: at least 50% Ghibli-themed, pre-loved items allowed.
Location: Activity Center 2F Gyud Food, UP Diliman [check out their FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/gyudfood ]
Possible activities: Cosplay competition, Ghibli Quiz Bee, Ghibli on-the-spot painting or drawing competition etc.

Please note that this is an interest check / survey email for now - if we are able to gather the minimum # of merchants, then we will begin the process of organizing the event. Our deadline for this survey is July 15; we hope to garner enough interested merchants by then to hold the event.

JUNE 16, SUNDAY: the LAST Latagan of the Summer edition! Celebrate Father's Day with us at the ground floor of Gyud Food from 12nn to 9pm this Sunday, we have 8 merchants ready to wow you with a great array of merchandise, from preloved goodies to handmade creations, and lots of books & collectibles too!

Our FREE to Give & Take space is open to everyone at all our Latagan events. Drop by this Dec. 16-17 weekend from 10am to 8pm and join in the fun! Anyone can donate their unused but still usable items, from clothes, books, houseware, school & office supplies etc. & leave them for anyone else to take home - no judgment, no questions asked. Please make sure what you will donate is clean & still useful. This is an activity & advocacy to promote community, kindness, eco-consciousness, & smart living, & you are all invited to participate!
