I met a client earlier and talked about how I once thrived in stress and procrastination (for 14 years) until it took a toll on my mental and physical health. To be honest, I still do not how to truly relax and slow down but I’m getting there ✨

A year ago, making fresh flower arrangements was a distant dream. I was scared because I was only used to doing dried and preserved arrangements 🫶🏻 I never imagined reaching this point—working with fresh flowers and working full time as a floral designer.
There were a lot of things that didn’t happen. I’m grateful that it didn’t work out. I am where I am today because of that 🌸
Lastly, life is too short to not live doing what you love. Live your life authentically ✨

Also, this gray ceramic low vase is becoming a new favorite 🫶🏻
This type of arrangement is perfect as a table centerpiece because it’s 360 degrees 🥰

My dreaded part of the floral design workshop is the demo 🫶🏻 Whenever someone watches me do flower arrangements, I feel so “seen” because I pour my heart out in every arrangement. Creating while talking is also a different skill altogether 😅 But I’m so happy that the Mori Hana community is very warm and we can be a little vulnerable during the workshop 🫶🏻🥰

What scares me as a florist?
Working with new flowers and a new vase 😅
My “usuals” were not available yesterday so I felt like I was just settling for what was there in the flower market. As always, I bought those flowers that felt like were calling me. This was a practice I developed over the months of being overwhelmed with options in the flower market.
This arrangement turned out to be prettier than I expected 🥹
Whenever I’m scared, I trust my intuition. It never fails me ✨

Bold, spontaneous, and organic—It took us months before we finally claimed and embraced our signature floral design style.
I used to constantly stalk other florists to see what they’re coming up with. It was a cycle of toxic comparison and self doubt for me. Today, I’m slowly coming out of it because I realized I wouldn’t be able to appreciate my work and progress without dealing with this in the first place.
We’re very grateful to clients who continue to trust our vision and work. It’s what kept us going and helped us remove all self doubt ✨ If you’re like me who came from years of subconsciously drowning myself with self limiting beliefs, this is your assurance that small progress is still progress. Continue to do the work and you’ll be where you want to be. 🫶🏻

A review from our recent client who asked us to do their bridal and entourage flowers ✨
A little backstory: I usually buy my flowers in under an hour but it took me almost two hours to source the flowers because the initial flowers that we agreed to were not available. This is normal though because we use mostly seasonal flowers 🫶🏻 But we’re so happy our client loved the replacements. The arrangements turned out better in the end ✨

August 2, 2020 was when I posted my first set of flower arrangements for sale.
