Considering the unexpected nature of this moment and the need to gather my thoughts, the following represents what would have been the full version of my award acceptance speech.

I am grateful to the Aliw Awards Foundation, Inc. —Ma'am Alice Hernandez Reyes, Ma'am Rema Tan Manzano, the members of the board, the selection committee, and the jury for the recognition.

Special thanks to my wife Yvette Fernandez Coloma and our children, Marc and Mia, for their patience and understanding during my complicated schedules and even 'weirder ways' in the creative process.

A big shout-out to my production team—Technical Director Arman Manaois, Production Designers Warren Reyes and Ruel Almazan, Floor Director Bernard Abeleda, Assistant Director Kamille Dominique Mascariña, Lead Stage Manager Mij Santos, Art Director/Playback Supervisor Andrea N Geronimo, Spinner Boyzee Zarraga, Stage Layout Artist Jumbo Cortez, Orchestra Coordinator Franco Octaviano, Production Assistant Carlos E.
