PEPEs CATERING SERVICE was conceptualized as a result of our Entrepreneurship training conducted among youth leaders representing different organizations in Barangay Bagong Silangan. Based on our experience and observation many youth in our community are jobless, and not able to finish their schooling due to poverty, some of them were involved in vices due to depression and lack of ambition. Most
of them cannot find employment because of lack of skills and other qualifications needed for the job
This business will provide the youth an opportunity to be trained in food business, to be self employed or find jobs. Part of the profit from our business will be used to provide free services like feeding programs, trainings to our crew and staff, and distribution of school supplies to poor and deserving youth as well. It will also give a shared profit to our affiliated youth organization for their projects and event that is why this business differs from the other businesses. For the youth, it will provide opportunity for self employment and job generation for our youth members and non members. For Society, our outreach program will help feed malnourished children, provide job opportunities, and assist students in their studies through distribution of school supplies. For the environment, we will only use environment friendly products and promote proper waste management through reduction, re-use and recycling of bio and non-biodegradable wastes. This business will be coordinated by the Young Entrepreneur Society of Bagong Silangan (YES-BS) a newly organized group of school and community based youth leaders in Brgy. Founded on June 3, 2016 which had 80 original members coming from different organizations in the community such as BSYF, SKTYO, AYO, SPARKS, R9YO, PLYM, UFI, UPNA. Months had passed; the growing members of the group had been increased with the addition of FYO, CYO, Joyful Youth organization, ANAK-BS, GFYO.
