How we started...
Olive’s Catering Services started just as any small family business starts. Our parents Tawie and Olive Yambao has a lot of business back in the days. I remember when I was a child, they are making artificial plants to sell, buy and sell (anything), a little cafeteria, flower arrangements for all occasions, etc.
Our mother was really known as a florist. From weddings, baptismals, birthdays and even funeral flowers. She is also known by the schools nearby as she is taking care of the graduation decorations every year. She even holds titles for every flower float competitions in the said schools. ;)
Our family, (and I can say this with confidence) is one of the best cooks in town. Passed from our grandparents, we acquired the best tasting recipes that we are now serving as a part of our courses.
The idea came since we know how to cook (and we cook well) and we also know how to decorate for all occasions, so why not give it a try. This was materialized 20 years ago with the help of our grandparents Angel and Linda Valenzuela. Started with the family as the whole catering team. From our Lola’s and Tita’s as cooks, our Tito’s as our drivers (and also waiters), cousins as waiters and off course us the team Yambao is in charge for the function area and making sure that all is in order. :)
