Flew to Bacolod to host a gender reveal celebration for my fun-loving brother and sister-in-law. Knowing my brother's personality I had to prank him 3 times before the final reveal. He sure loved it!

This wedding I will never forget.

So I entered the reception hall donned in this long, dusty blue, venus cut dress and concluded the program wearing what I fondly referred to as my Sabbath dress in the subsequent photo.

During the guests' photo op, duty called as I needed to nurse my baby. Realizing I forgot a nursing cover, I maneuvered my way to the restroom, only to face a dilemma when my zipper malfunctioned after the breastfeeding session—I panicked!

I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't brought a spare dress. The night before something told me I have to pack another dress just in case it's cold or if I look like one of the bridesmaids. It sure did save my night when my original dress failed me.

All credit goes to the subtle guidance of the still small voice, reminding me to be prepared. From now on, I'll always have a spare dress ready for any unforeseen event.

If there's someone who has witnessed both my hosting at its best and worst, it's my husband. While I'm not fond of post-event critiques, I welcome his input gladly.

With a background in wedding photography, he's encountered numerous hosts, making his criticisms all the more insightful and reassuring especially at times I doubt myself.

As soon as the employees of Veritas Dental Resources entered the hall for their red carpet, I felt pressured and anxious, fearing I might fall short of meeting their expectations. Good thing a friend pulled me to the side and prayed for me. I learned it takes a different level of energy and wit to host a corporate event. The prayer brought a sense of calm, and as I stepped onto the stage, I channeled that newfound confidence to deliver a memorable hosting experience for the VDR employees. Thank You, Lord.

Last year, on Independence Day, I took on the responsibility of hosting my brother's wedding reception. Initially, I hesitated due to the pressure involved. The pressure stemmed from my desire not to disappoint someone who looks up to me and supports me in my hosting endeavors. Additionally, I had to fulfill some motherly duties as two of my children were part of the entourage, and my youngest, who was just three months old at the time, relied solely on breastfeeding. Moreover, to add to the challenges, my wisdom tooth was causing discomfort. Enebe!

But because I love my brother I agreed to host the reception, but on one condition—I needed a co-host. Luckily, his friend Adrian, a cruise ship nurse, happened to be on vacation at that time. Phew! Problem solved. The first photo may give the impression that I did all the work, but that's not the case; Adrian handled most of the tasks, and he was amazing. Thanks to him, the reception program turned out to be a success. Definitely, one for the books.

Belated Happy Anniversary to my brother and sister-in-law. I love you both.
