Typhoon Odette left a terrible mark to the lives of thousands of Filipinos. The numbers of casualties are rising, thousands are left homless in various provinces within Visayas and Mindanao, thousands are hungry with minimal to no aid their way, and thousands are left with poor access to clean and safe drinking water. Brgy. Himbangan is one of them.
‘Tubig Para Pagbulig’ is a group that aims to provide clean drinking water starting with the 600 families in Brgy. Himbangan, one of the barangays in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte badly hit by Typhoon Odette. According to the 2020 Census, they have a population of 2,661.
We would like to humbly ask for your help as we call for donations so we can meet this goal. The lack of media coverage, access to public transportation plus the total loss of livelihood and financial resources make drinking water even more out of reach.
The goal is to be able to deliver 600 jugs of clean and drinking water by December 31, 2021. Please help us make this happen.
Any donation such as clothes, medicine, canned goods will also be accepted and forwarded to the affected families.
Kindly send screenshots of cash donations for accounting purposes to this page, or to Lyvet Palejaro, Nicole Reyes, Guendolyn Novelle Tabanao Selga. All donations and related expenses will be posted for transparency.
THANK YOU ❤️
