'OUR CONSTITUENTS DESERVE TO SEE THEIR LEADERS UNITED'
House Speaker Martin Romualdez comments on Vice President Sara Duterte's decision to skip President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s third State of the Nation Address (SONA).
He highlighted that while every public official has the right to decide on their attendance at significant events, the SONA represents a critical moment for national unity and collaboration among leaders.
Romualdez emphasized that the SONA serves as a platform to reflect on progress, address challenges, and outline future visions for the country.
Despite Duterte's absence, he reiterated the House of Representatives' commitment to working with all branches of government.
The Speaker stressed the importance of presenting a united front to ensure that Marcos' SONA reflects collective efforts aimed at improving the lives of Filipinos.
Romualdez concluded by reaffirming that unity and collaboration will continue to guide their efforts forward.
