WHOLESOME FOOD FOR CHILDREN
Wholesome food for children. A children’s cafeteria that promotes substantial nourishment above all. employment for the jobless, charity for the less fortunate. These are the four main principles that we’ve set when we were creating the concept of Cath’s Kitchen in 2015. We knew it will never be easy. Most cafeteria food thrive on too much of everything. Too much sugar, too much fat, too much flavour enhancers, and battling this norm would probably be the biggest challenge that we will ever face. When we opened the cafeteria in July 0f 2016, we were not certain that our concept of creating “healthy” alternatives would take-off. after all, who would want pizza with a dough made with moringa right? Or cupcakes made with squash? But more importantly for us, we were hoping that our advocacy would create a movement for cafeteria food. we believe firmly that food should be a catalyst for having a great time, but more importantly, food should be nourishment of the soul. Five years later, we are still up and running, still serving the same great “nourishing” food and still learning more things to adapt and delight our customers, but this dream will never stop. Our advocacies have grown. If we can promote wholesome cuisine in a small group of people and receive great response, why not take over the bigger public? Still with the same concepts, hopes and principles that we’ve established five years ago. Great food should also be a nourishment of the soul.
