Battle of the Bands‼️
at Valencia City, Bukidnon
Exclusive for Valencianon youth ages 15 - 30 years old.

(Exclusive for Valenciano Youth Only - OPEN TO ALL BAND in the City of Valencia)

MECHANICS:

A. The Battle of the Bands is open to seven (7) amateur groups only. “Amateur” bands refer to any band who has not signed any contract with any musical label before or during the
contest proper. This contest is on a first come, first serve basis.

B. Online registration is REQUIRED and should be done on or before JULY 15, 2022.
Online registration can be access through Valencia City Youth Development Office
page (https://www.facebook.com/VCYDO).

C. Each group will have a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 7 members aged 15-30 years old,
Applicant must fill up the application form prior the competition. Any band member who has
won in a local, national, international or independent music contest designed for solo artists
and/or singers is allow to join.

D. The members of the group may be composed of all males or females, or any combination
of both. Band Members can only play in one band.
E. The band has not won (whether first, second or third place) in any NATIONAL music and/or
band contest and must be unsigned to any record labels or recording company.
F. Each band’s set (overall performance, entrance and exit of the band) must fill approximately
15 minutes but must not exceed 20 minutes. For every minute exceeding the 20-minutes limit,
the band will be penalized 5 points from their total score.

01 Band Set-up / entrance / exit 5 minutes
02 Sound Check / Tuning / Warm Up 5 minutes
03 Song Of Choice (2 songs) 10 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes

G. The bands are free to their own rendition to their chosen song. Medley arrangement of songs is not allowed.

H. Songs with indecent or repulsive lyrics are not allowed
I. Band members who are performing under the influence of liquors shall result immediate disqualification.

J. all equipment’s must be provided by the participants except for the drum set which will be provided by the Organizers, Damages on the sound systems equipment during performance shall be shouldered by the band

K. Non-appearance of the band during their call/turn of performance shall be immediately and automatically disqualified.

L. No registration Fee

M. The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.

MUSIC VIDEO MAKING CONTEST GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS:

1. Only OPM songs for the Music Video Contest are permitted.
2. Videos should be between 3 to 4 minutes in length. Videos that are not in between of the length mentioned will be disqualified.
3. Plagiarism of any kind will result in disqualification.
4. The video must not contain material that is obscene, defamatory, libelous, pornographic, offensive or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence or violates any law. Videos must be appropriate for viewing by the general public.
5. All work will be given credits to the creators.
6. The committee will not assume responsibility or liability for any video or portion thereof, or for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from the use or dissemination of any video submitted in this contest.
7. The judges' decision is final.
8. All screen artist must be from Villanueva

ACOUSTIC DUO Competition
Mechanics:

Open to all Amateur (Non-Professional / Non Recording) Acoustic Duos (Pair) with members not younger than 18 years old but not older than 60 years old.

Applicants / Auditionees are requested to “LIKE” the official page of Heritage Productions.

Applicants / Auditionees are requested to submit their profile with picture and video (raw / unedited). All instruments must be performed live, canned music is not allowed. Bands may perform their original composition.

Audio Recording must be clear enough, otherwise it will be rejected. Song can be in English, Bisaya, Tagalog cover or original composition.

Online Auditions / Submission of Requirements will be from March 5 to March 30, 2021.

Applicants / Auditionees will receive a copy of the mechanics and the official registration form.

Submitted Videos will be screened by Heritage Productions Selection Committee.

Qualifiers will be announced in the official Heritage Productions page.

Qualifiers will compete in a weekly competition and winners will be declared as Semi Finalists.

There will be one monthly Acoustic Duo winner for April, May and June who will receive Php5,000.00

Semi Finalists will compete in the Grand finals on July 30, 2021

Judges’ decision is final and irrevocable, no discussion will be entered in relation to their decision.

Vocal Quality 30 %
Musicality 30 %
Performance 30%
Online Vote 10%

🎸🎸MECHANICS:
1. The battle of the bands is open to maximum of 10 groups only. This contest is on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Registered band must compose of minimum of 4 members and maximum of 7 members per band.
3. There will be a REGISTRATION FEE WORTH PHP 500.00
4. Each band must bring their own instrument and equipment EXCEPT for the DRUMSET which will be provided by the management.
5. Each band is given 3 songs to perform.
