This ✅️ Spent 500k for a wedding with 50 guests..

Most frequently ask question sa amin is "di ba dapat mas mura ang intimate wedding?"
Same service lang din naman po kasi, the decorations, the photography, the program flow.. sa food lang nabawasan 💕

HOW DID YOU DEAL WITH THOSE WHO WEREN’T INVITED TO YOUR WEDDING?

Okay, sa totoo lang, nagulat ako that this was one of the most asked questions.

OKAY, FIRST... WHY 50 LANG?

Guys… the original plan was 30! 🤯

The only reason umabot ng 50 is because some of the most important people in our lives flew in from abroad.

❌ It was NOT because of budget. We didn’t plan an intimate wedding para lang makatipid.

Some people saw my budget breakdown and commented on how expensive our wedding was… but realistically, an intimate wedding costs anywhere from ₱200K to ₱500K. Ours landed at ₱500K, but after cash gifts, we spent around ₱280K.

But again, our guest list wasn’t based on budget. The reason we went for 50:

✅ We wanted to be surrounded by people who truly mattered, not just out of tradition or obligation, but because they’ve been a real part of our lives.

✅ We prioritized experience over numbers. With a smaller guest list, we could actually be present and enjoy every moment instead of being pulled in all directions.

✅ We wanted a wedding that felt personal. Not a grand production, not a social obligation... just a celebration that truly reflected us as a couple.

“HOW DID YOU SAY NO?”

1️⃣ We kept the wedding a secret. 😆

Yup. Even our guests were asked not to tell anyone! So nalaman nalang nila kung sino andun on the day itself.

This made things stress-free! Walang unsolicited advice, walang panghihimasok sa decisions namin.

We didn’t even do prenup photos.

We just didn't feel the need to tell the whole world we were getting married.

No pressure, no expectations, just a wedding focused on what actually mattered: our commitment to each other.

2️⃣ Simula pa lang, kinausap na namin families namin about our wedding boundaries.

I told my parents straight up na ayoko ng random titos and titas na invited "just because."

Fortunately, our families respected our decision and said:

"It’s your wedding, kayo ang magde-decide niyan." 💛

“HOW DID YOU DEAL WITH THOSE WHO WEREN’T INVITED?”

We didn’t have to.

The right people will understand. This was never about excluding anyone—it was about making sure our wedding stayed intentional and meaningful.

If someone felt bad, we totally get it. But at the same time, those who really care about us will respect our choice.

And let’s be real…

Kung may nagalit dahil hindi sila invited, baka yun yung rason kung bakit di sila invited. 😂

THE PERKS OF BEING INTENTIONAL WITH OUR INVITES

✨ 100% attendance. Walang nasayang na plate, walang last-minute no-shows!

✨ I walked down the aisle and knew every face in the crowd. I remembered every little thing I went through with each person. Walang "HU U?!" 😂

✨ When we asked for cash gifts, nabawi namin half ng wedding costs. Willing to give kasi ang guests!

LASTLY, REGARDING THE BUDGET: WE DID NOT SPEND ₱10,000 PER GUEST.

If you do the math, ₱500K divided by 50 guests would mean ₱10K per person…

But that’s not how we saw it.

Because we weren’t getting married for others. We were getting married for us.

We didn’t spend ₱10K per guest.

We spent ₱500K for our wedding experience as a couple.

There’s a big difference. 🔥

The guests were there as witnesses. They were there because we wanted them to celebrate with us.

We didn’t "spend on them"—we spent on us. They were just there to share in the moment.

This might be a good time to start asking...
