Michael Adolfo fell short in his bid for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian title under Prime Stags Sports, losing to veteran Thai boxer Danai Ngiabphukhiaw.

Adolfo was aggressive in the first and second rounds, but Danai recovered in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Adolfo went down twice in the 4th round, first at the 2:35 mark and then again at the 1:30 mark, during their 10-round bout for the vacant WBC Asian 112-pound title.

Both fighters, Michael Adolfo of Prime Stags Sports and Danai Ngiabphukhiaw,mi successfully made weight at 112 pounds ahead of their bout.

During today's weigh-in, Adolfo tipped the scales at 111.1 pounds, while his Thai opponent, Danai, registered 111.2 pounds.

Adolfo will face seasoned Thai veteran Danai Ngiabphukhiaw in a 10-round battle for the vacant World Boxing Council (WBC) Asian 112-pound title.

The match between former world champion Srisaket Sor Rungvisai of Thailand and China's Guangheng Luan will be the undercard of Pintados Adolfo and Danai Ngiabphukhiaw title bout.

Garces Out, Adolfo In

Hard-hitting Michael Adolfo will replace his stablemate, Kit Ceron Garces, who sustained an injury last week during a practice session at Prime Stags Gym in Talisay City, Cebu.

Adolfo is now doubling his efforts in practice as he prepares to face Danai Ngiabphukhiaw, a hometown favorite in Thailand, on November 29, 2024, for a potential championship belt.

Both Garces and Adolfo compete in the same weight class, at 112 pounds.

"We are very sorry to announce this, as we really wanted Garces to take another shot at the championship belt. Kaya ra kaayu unta niya ang kontra," said Prime Stags Sports Promotions President, Atty. Jigo John Dacua.

"But with Adolfo stepping in, we feel even more confident. With only a few weeks left before the November 29 fight, Adolfo has been practicing non-stop."Dacua added.

Both Adolfo and Danai Ngiabphukhiaw will fight in a 10-round bout for the vacant WBC Asia Championship (Nakornlung Promotion, 112 lbs) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The veteran Thai boxer holds an impressive record of 23 wins, 12 of which are by knockout, with five losses.

Danai has been very active in 2024, fighting four times—winning three by unanimous decision and one resulting in a technical draw.

Adolfo has six wins, three by way of knockout, and two losses.

In his most recent fights, he won by unanimous decision against Virgilio Silvano on July 20, 2024, and secured a knockout victory against Albert Parilla on December 29, 2023.

Kit Ceron Garces takes center stage for another possible championship belt against Danai Ngiabphukhiaw, a hometown favorite in Thailand, on November 29, 2024.

This was relayed by Prime Stags Sports Promotions President, Atty. Jigo John Dacua, after the contract was recently signed by both parties.

Garces will face Danai Ngiabphukhiaw in a 10-round bout for the vacant WBC Asia Championship (Nakornlung Promotion, 112 lbs) in Bangkok, Thailand.

The veteran Thai boxer has an impressive record of 23 wins, with 12 by knockout, and five losses.

Danai has been very active in 2024, with four fights—three won by unanimous decision and one resulting in a technical draw.

Garces has had one fight this year, on July 20, 2024, where he won against the hard-hitting Robert Paradero via unanimous decision.

John Ver Espra, 25, of Prime Stags Sports, will be leaving for Incheon, South Korea, first week of September 2024 to fight against Mongolian boxer Orknontungalag Unubold, 24. The fight will be under Buffalo Promotions and supervised by the Korean Boxing Association.

The 6-round fight between Espra and Unubold will be on Sept 7, 2024.
