Origins are an integral part of an individual. They are inseparable and vital to the extent that future endeavors are weakened without a mettle foundation. Hence, the Outstanding Alumni Award. It illuminates the pathway that each awardee treads toward a glorious pedestal. It is a celebration of the origins they hold, one of the hands that have made them notable individuals worthy of recognition.
Once adolescents are anxious about the future, they push through the odds and find their footing. They often turned the corner and once again stepped onto the universityโs stage with tales of greatness, success, and excellence. Beyond the school grounds, their hands are honorable, their work becoming assets to societyโnurturing young minds, providing employment, and reaching out to needy communities.

Like the lustrous beams of the life-giving sun, her presence glistens in any area she pours her heart into. From the hallowed halls of classrooms to the earthquake-affected communities, Ms. Darleen S. Mirandaโs hands extend to touch the hearts of many lives. The students she taught and the souls she aided prove her ability to impart her light to others.
โAs an outstanding alumni and educator, I am committed to upholding the legacy of excellence, integrity, and service instilled within me by this esteemed institution.โ She stressed in her speech.
For 18 years, she has steadfastly served the country by offering outstanding service quality to the field of education. Through honest labor, her shelves are adorned with recognition plaques from various award-giving bodies. Another piece for her collection is this yearโs Most Outstanding Alumni Award in Education. With a grateful heart, she spouted words of thanks:
โI want to express my deepest gratitude to this university for shaping me into the person I am today and for bestowing upon me this incredible honor.โ

Currently, the Dean of the College of Technology at the university, Dr. April Rose B. Flores, has used her platform to expedite the extension services of the university. Even before her current title, with expertise in Tech-Vocational talent and skill, she spearheaded skill-enrichment activities to produce workforce-ready students. She is nationally known as a dynamic force in community development like a bee pollinating plants to ensure survival.
โI never expected that I would be a national winner and [achieve] all of my accomplishments. All of that is because of our teachers and all the outreach teachers we have at this university. [I give] my heartfelt and never-ending thank you to all of you.โ She expressed this in her heartfelt speech.
Dr. Floresโs knuckles down to advancing extension service to bridge the gap between academic and real-world applications, creating future pollinators who will make meaningful contributions to society. Indeed, she deserves the Most Outstanding Alumni Award in the Extension Category.

In heavy business competitions, Mr. Johnny N. Nambong proved worthy to stay in the game. Armed with the necessities instilled during his time at the university, he sets forth with foresight and determination into the bustling community of entrepreneurs.
โAs a proud product of the University of Southern Mindanao, I have learned the value of hard work, perseverance, and education.โ He voiced with appreciation.
His success is not merely self-gratifying but has also created avenues for employment and economic growth within his community. Mr. Nambong humbly accepts the accolade while recognizing the guidance and knowledge he received from his alma mater.
โThis recognition is a testament to the quality of education provided by the University of Southern Mindanao-Kidapawan City Campus and the dedication of each faculty and staff.โ Mr. Nambong added.
His testament deserves the Most Outstanding Alumni in Entrepreneurship. It fuels aspiring entrepreneurs by reminding them of the transformative power of sincere toil and ingenuity.
It is a mark of a KCCian to carry the universityโs greatness into the real world. Our origin, and our molderโthe globally competent USM-KCC. The alumni have set the bar high and have stirred inspiration to students to achieve greater than what was set.
