It is NOT with heavy hearts that we now officially close Hakbang Pilipinas. Opening this business sometime after the pandemic started was life-changing for our team. By organizing small to big-scale virtual conferences with our partners here and abroad and providing them with full-stack media solutions, we managed not only to survive but we also thrived during such a difficult time.

Because of Hakbang, we were also able to engage in humanitarian efforts that not only changed the lives of those we helped but it changed our very own lives as well. This we will be forever grateful to our Lord for. How he sustained us throughout still continues to amaze us.

As we close Hakbang Pilippinas, we now move on to a much bigger project. This new project has the same heart but will now only have a bigger scope and a wider reach. So while our journey as the Hakbang Pilipinas team officially ends here, the same core team will journey together with our new project - PROJECT CARAGA.

Please keep us in your prayers as we embark on this new and exciting journey - one that has the potential to create positive change for the indigenous people in our region and hopefully someday, for other IP's in other parts of the Philippines too 🥰

Yesterday was such a fun launch of the first ever Bike Clinic of MTB Academy PH at SM City Butuan with Official Giant Riders & Coaches of MTB Academy Ph, Coach Coni Leyes and Coach Ludy Mendaruz ! Butuan Riders have so much talent and potential!

The pre-event happens later LIVE at the SM City Butuan grounds (Canopy 2). The campsite at Malihao Hills Village here in Butuan City is now on soft opening!

This was one of the livelihood projects that we did with R.O.X. Philippines and now councilor Joey Abrenilla and his friends at Task Force Covid Bougainvillea to allow the tribes to see the tourism potential of their beautiful mountains.

There is a looong way to go but we want to celebrate this step that they have taken.

Donation Drive Update:

Hakbang Tabang : Gifts of Hope has extended its reach to Camiguin Island through Fatima College of Camiguin HS Batch 2012.

Around 30 fisherfolk families were given assistance as part of the relief efforts on communities affected by Typhoon Odette.

This initiative is made possible through USTP CDO Campus, USTP Alumni Federation and USTP Center for Human Development.

Donation Campaign Update:

As of today, December 30, 2021, Hakbang Tabang : Gifts of Hope have received a total of 200pcs 5 Gallon Drinking Water as part of the relief efforts for the survivors of Typhoon Odette in Surigao Province and Bohol.

This drinking water drive is an initiative by Daniell Sagun and his team who are accepting donations of used empty water containers and newly purchased ones.

These goods they collected were received through our project partner University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) Cagayan de Oro Campus through the USTP Center for Human Development and USTP Alumni Federation.

Hakbang Tabang : Gifts of Hope is still ongoing and we are accepting more donations in kind (thru R.O.X. Philippines and USTP CDO), cash (thru FSUU Foundation) and via online auction (thru Hakbang Pilipinas FB Page)

As of yesterday, December 28, 2021 through the generosity of donors we are able to donate P226, 780.00 to Father Saturnino Urios University Foundation, Inc. to aid in their relief efforts for communities in Surigao and Siargao.
