The old Tierra Buena Swimming Pool came into being on the 19th of October 1975. It was built by Spouses Rogelio Velasco Buenaventura and Ma. Elena Asuncion Monsalud Buenaventura, for their four (4) children to learn and enjoy swimming. When the children were all grown-up, it was then open to the public to accept swimming classes for PCTR students and water baptism ceremonies of some Christian groups. During its temporary closure since 1997, it served as a playground for the spouses’ grandchildren and their playmates.
After more than a decade, it reopened and evolved into a venue for birthday parties, family reunions, corporate gatherings and other special occasions.
It was closed last November 2016 to undergo renovation to improve its facilities. The reception was converted into a basement where you can find one (1) Kiddie Pool, the Function Hall, the Comfort and Shower Rooms, the Karaoke Machine, Grill and Station, and three (3) Private Rooms with Fans and Double Deck Bed near the pool area and three (3) Private Rooms with air conditioning unit, televisions. ref, table & chairs, kitchen area, toilet and bath located at the 3rd Floor are available for rent for transient. In front of the swimming pool, now stood a 3-storey multi-use building where you can find the following businesses:
